It takes EFFORT to grow!
We can't work for our salvation (Eph 2:8-9), but we have to work out (exhibit) our salvation (Phil 2:12).
It takes EFFORT to grow!
- Winners RISE to the challenge.
- Whiners SHRINK from the challenge.
Salvation (our faith) is the basis on which we build and develop our Christian life (2 Pet 1:1-9). It is not adding something "new" but rather adding more of the same.
We won't lose sight of the calling to BE different in this world and to share what God has done in us with others when we remember the extent of our forgiveness (2 Pet 1:9; Luke 7:47).
The more we practice doing what is right and avoiding doing what is wrong, the greater understanding we will get of the deeper meanings of the Bible (Heb 5:14).
- You have to do it!
- Nobody can grow on your behalf.
The plan: Be intentional
- 1. Pick an area of growth.
- 2. Choose a target person (to practice on).
- 3. Schedule it in your diary (set a time and date).
- 4. Repeat the above!
