Salmo 28:6–9 (RVR60)

6 Bendito sea Jehová, Que oyó la voz de mis ruegos.

7 Jehová es mi fortaleza y mi escudo; En él confió mi corazón, y fui ayudado, Por lo que se gozó mi corazón, Y con mi cántico le alabaré.

-Este año trabajamos sobre el lema “Realidades”, estuvimos enfocados en que nuestra fe no está basada en simples tradiciones o invenciones humanas o religiosas, sino en la demostración del poder de Dios, el cual se ha manifestado para nuestra salvación….

-This year we worked on the motto “Realities.” We focused on the fact that our faith is not based on simple traditions or human or religious inventions, but on the demonstration of the power of God, which has been manifested for our salvation….

Este año nos concentramos en el propósito de que nuestra fe debe ser demostrada mediante acciones que ha sido el resultado de una vida verdaderamente transformada por el poder de Dios, y no por simples costumbres o apariencias.

This year we focused on the purpose that our faith must be demonstrated through actions that have been the result of a life truly transformed by the power of God, and not by simple customs or appearances.

Nada inconcluso | Nothing unfinished

-Con Dios nada queda inconcluso. Eso lo vemos desde el principio de la creación.

-With God nothing is left unfinished. We see this from the beginning of creation.

-Seguramente hemos experimentado diferentes situaciones, en las que los tiempos han tenido diferentes sabores en el paladar de nuestra memoria. Pero Dios ha sido fiel.

-Surely we have experienced different situations, in which times have had different flavors in the palate of our memory. But God has been faithful.

-Una de las realidades de las que podemos testificar es que Dios no ha dejado sus asuntos inconclusos. Podemos afirmar con toda seguridad que “Dios lo ha hecho!”, El ha actuado a nuestro favor.

-One of the realities that we can testify is that God has not left his affairs unfinished. We can safely affirm that “God has done it!”, He has acted in our favor.

Acciones y experiencias | Actions and experiences

-Poniendo atención a los verbos en los textos que hemos leído, podemos ver que tenemos todas las condiciones para seguir confiando en el Señor.

-Paying attention to the verbs in the texts we have read, we can see that we have all the conditions to continue trusting in the Lord.

“Oyó”, esta acción se le atribuye a la acción de Dios. El salmista clamó en medio de su situación, y Dios le oyó.

“He heard” is attributed to God’s action. The psalmist cried out in the midst of his situation, and God heard him.

“Confió”, el rey David ahora se refiere a sí mismo. El esperó en Dios y nos dice: “fui ayudado”.

“He trusted” is now referring to King David himself. He hoped in God and tells us: “I was helped.”

“Gozó” y “alabaré”. Se refiere a su reacción. El primero está conjugado en pasado, y el segundo se pronuncia en futuro, como una decisión en respuesta a la acción de Dios.

“Rejoiced” and “I will praise.” These refer to his reaction. The first is conjugated in the past, and the second is pronounced in the future, as a decision in response to God’s action.

Salvador y Pastor | Savior and Shepherd

-El Salmo 28 termina con una descripción de Dios: Salvador y Pastor: “Jehová es la fortaleza de su pueblo, y el refugio salvador de su ungido. Salva a tu pueblo, y bendice a tu heredad; y pastoréales y susténtales para siempre”.

-Psalm 28 ends with a description of God: Savior and Shepherd: “The Lord is the strength of his people, and the saving refuge of his anointed. Save your people, and bless your inheritance; shepherd them and uphold them forever.”

-Estos atributos de Dios se han revelado a nosotros por medio de Jesucristo.

-These attributes of God have been revealed to us through Jesus Christ.

Como Salvador, El nos protege y nos bendice. Pablo dijo que la iglesia es “el cuerpo de Cristo, y El es su salvador” (Ef. 5.23).

As Savior, He protects and blesses us. Paul said that the church is “the body of Christ, and He is its Savior” (Eph. 5:23).

Como Pastor, El nos guía y nos sustenta. Jesús dijo: “Yo soy el buen pastor; el buen pastor su vida da por las ovejas” (Jn. 10.11).

As Shepherd, He guides and sustains us. Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11).

Realidades y reacciones

-Hay una estrecha relación entre la realidad de las situaciones diarias y la realidad de la acción de Dios. Esta relación es el gozo por la confianza en Dios y la alabanza por la respuesta de Dios.

-En el 2025 nos vamos a dedicar a “la demostración de nuestra fe por medio de pensamientos, palabras y acciones excelentes, dando lo mejor para Dios, con un alto nivel de compromiso y dedicación. No solo querer hacer, sino hacer con excelencia”.

-In 2025 we will dedicate ourselves to “the demonstration of our faith through excellent thoughts, words and actions, giving our best to God, with a high level of commitment and dedication. Not just wanting to do, but doing with excellence.”

Al final de este año podemos decir: “Dios lo ha hecho”; ahora nosotros expresaremos en el 2025: “Nosotros lo haremos con excelencia”.
