Every day we live in a world that is at best trying to get you to balance
your joy and sorrow
This world will seek to confuse what is Good and Evil
and our challenge is to stay focused on God every minute of every day.
The world tells us to seek Self- improvement in order to satisfy our material longings.
It teaches us that THINGS are the thing that will satisfy us.
Paul penned this letter to a church who LOVED and lived that Love out for God and Others
Paul shared with them and shared with us the last few weeks that
That it is CHRIST ALONE that is the SOURCE of JOY
and that walking with HIM is possible in every moment of your LIFE
Philippians 1:2 (ESV)
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
JOY is possible in all things at ALL TIMES because we are CHRIST FOLLOWERS,
that we are HIS and nothing can take that away.
The Book of Philippians is a letter of encouragement and joy addressed to the Christian community in Philippi.

There is great comfort in knowing that it is
NOT WHAT YOU CAN DO
BUT WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE
Christ died on that Cross so that you could have eternal life
BUT we must remember that is not all HE DID
We could stand in line with a grocery cart of needed foods and goods
and forget our wallet --- unable to pay
we could endure the displeasure of the clerk and the other customers
A kind person could show up and pay our debt, and then walk away never to be seen again
That person could give you a card and you could send a thank you text
Our Debt would be paid
and Jesus did that for us.
YET OUR JOY IS FROM SOMETHING MORE
again not simply knowing that we are going to Heaven
Like going through a tough day and knowing we are going home
Christ’s LOVE is so much GREATER THAT THAT
Christ love is not simply to pay that bill,
and not be seen again
It is not simply to have you GET the PAID in FULL receipt
Christ wants to be in a RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU
Not when you are in NEED
But one in which you cannot LIVE without HIM
He is your Breath, Your Strength and HE IS JOY IN YOU
Christ it not simply going to give you a get out of Death and Condemnation
It is to Live with YOU
To be your ALL and ALL
For you to ABIDE in HIM in ALL THINGS at ALL TIMES

19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
This verse conveys so much about God
His Power - He is capable
His Will - He wants to give
His Purpose - To supply and equip you
Not your will but HIS be done.

because of Christ.

These seven things are you KEYS to JOY

You must keep PERSPECTIVE
You Must PRACTICE
You must GAIN the WISDOM to WORSHIP in ALL THINGS
Hard i know --- YOU are in a BATTLE for Your MIND
Your SOUL is Secure
Your Salvation PROMISED
But you MUST be IN CHRIST DAILY
You Must PUT on THE ARMOUR
You MUST make a CHOSE TO COMMITMENT
and i will argue that it is
EASIER than the WHISPERS allow you to BELIEVE
6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Christ is WHO began the GOOD WORK in YOU
and
13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Gives us the HOW we are going to DO IT
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Gives us our Daily Reminder of WHAT to Think
6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Tells us our ACTION Steps
2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.
3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,
Tells us HOW TO WALK DAILY
6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,
7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,
10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,
13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing,
15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
16 holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.

8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

My prayer was that YOUR FUTURE is Brighter
for you have the LIGHT of the WORLD inside you
You have the POWER of Jesus Available to you
and
that you understand that
you came to that counter with a cart you could barely push
to a counter that demanded PAYMENT in FULL
and There you MEET JESUS
the Man who Paid your Debt
Carried your Soiled pile on His BACK
Who invited you to LIVE with HIM, so that you NEVER have that CART AGAIN
HE Tossed the OLD Worldly Stuff in the Eternal Pit
No longer to be counted against YOU
I pray you understand that your PAST is Past
That your Present is Perspective
You develop HABITS to HELP
You PRACTICE TO MOVE TO PERFECTION
You KNOW THE PLACE that is PROVIDED for YOU daily
and that Your FUTURE is PROMISED by GOD.
GLORY to GOD in the HIGHEST
Peace on EARTH
and JOY TO THE WORLD.
