A response to those who ask the question Shouldn’t the churches adapt Christianity to suit the ideas of our time?
If the ideas run contrary to solid biblical teaching it is no more than poison consumed by the believer.
Some believe the gospel is simply about social reform (FALSE).
The gospel is man recognizing that because of sin he is depraved and separated from God. The consequences of which is death. Only acceptance of the sacrifice of Jesus which turned God’s wrath away from me can I truly be saved from damnation.
The unspoken 11th Commandment - Thou shalt not criticize church leaders
Leaders will continue to use this commandment as a shield against accountability.
I do recognize the dilemma of those criticizing without having a genuine relationship with that person.
But if truth or correction is being applied to the proper situation should the leader dismiss it because there is not no close relationship with the messenger?
