What Luke 2:15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

To begin with Brothers and sisters I had an ephifome, I was meditating on what to teach and preach about and Out of the clear blue I heard Jesus saying to me. He said Allen Ask folk this pertinent significant and important question. What Happens After Christmas. Because just like that!Christmas Day is over.

Oh, let me say this, Christmas Day was great and grand. We had Food, Family, and Friends come over on Christmas Day.. It was great but before I knew it Christmas Day was over. Just like that it was December 26th. Folk are going back to work. the stores are open, bills need to be paid, and chores have to be done. And so after the commercialization of Christmas What Happens Next ? Well briefly

1.Immediately after Jesus was born in Bethlehem God sent the Angel Gabriel to some shepherds who were abiding in the fields with their sheep.

2. The Shepherds were sore afraid and amazed at the same time. And the Angel Gabriel said fear not for unto you is born this day in the city of David a savior and His Name is Jesus.

#3. You’re going to find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger because their was no room for them in the Inn.

4. The Shepherds were rejoicing in amazement over how the heavenly Host of angels were carrying on over the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ.

5. This phenomenal event never gets old to me. Because I realized this year in 2024 for the first time in 35 years of preaching that the angels were most amazed to see the Creator lower Himself down to become Human to become the atonement for the sins of mankind.

6. Angels were created being, created to praise God, Created to give God Glory, created for their beauty and their strength. And so what’s the point? The difference between angels and humans is that the angel doesn’t have the choice to choose whether to accept and praise God or deny and reject God. oh But we do...

Tell your neighbor : We have a choice

Everybody in here today have Free Will and that brings me to # 7.We have children that are going to be baptized. And that’s What’s Happening After Christmas. Listen folks Jesus is still the reason for the season.

The miraculous magnificent and marvelous birth of Jesus Christ is talked about and celebrated all over the world. And from a historical view it was celebrated back then too. 1. The Shepherds celebrated Jesus and I’ll come back to them.

2. Anna and Simeon celebrated Jesus in the temple when Jesus was 8 days old.

3. The wise men Melhon Balthsa and Casper came two years later and celebrated Jesus by bring Gold frankincense and myrrh.

4. And now here we are celebrating Jesus for a multiplicity of reasons after Christmas Day is over. We celebrate Jesus because He’s our Lord and Savior. We celebrate Jesus because He’s Alpha and Omega. Jesus is the Beginning and the Ending. He’s mankind’s First and Last hope for Salvation.

We celebrate Jesus because He’s been our Doctor in the sick room.

We celebrate Jesus because He’s the Everlasting Eternal Friend of mankind that sticks closer than a brother.

We celebrate Jesus because He’s Good He’s Great and He’s our God that sends His Guardian Angels to watch over us all night long while we slept and slumbered Preach Rev. Allen.

We celebrate Jesus because He’s our Help Holy Heavenly Father that’s a present Help in time of need.

We celebrate Jesus because He’s Our Infinite intelligent Spirit Whose name is Jehovah the Maker and Supreme Ruler of Heaven and Earth.

We celebrate Jesus Because He’s Jehovah Jireh the Lord our Provider. He’s Jehovah Shalom the God of our peace. In fact He’s the Prince of Peace.

We celebrate Jesus after Christmas Day because He’s our Rock in the wearied land He’s the Rock of ages and He told Peter upon this Rock I’ll build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

We celebrate Jesus because He’s Strong He’s our High-tower, and that means that Jesus could stay a baby lying in a manger forever.

He had to be born in Bethlehem, grow up in Nazareth, live in Capernaum, be tired in Jerusalem, put to death on Calvary, Be raised from the dead three days later, seen of over 500 men after he rose from the dead, ascending back up to heaven. And finally one day that same Jesus is coming back for a church without a spot or wrinkle. Preach Boy.

What Happens After Christmas Day is Over . Well Jesus said take my yoke upon you and learn of Me. for my yoke is easy and my burdens are light.

That means we ought to try Jesus. WE tried things our way and they didn’t work… It won’t hurt to Try Jesus. It won’t hurt to learn about Jesus.

Let’s learn some things about Jesus after Christmas Day is over.

1. God so Loved the world that He gave us Jesus The only begotten of Father who is full of grace and mercy.

2. Jesus is Our Kinsman Redeemer being 100% man and 100% God at the same time, making Him the Monoghanase God.

3. Jesus became Mankind’s propitiation, and that means Jesus is our suffering servant who took my place and paid the penalty of death for us.

4. There fore God has Highly exalted Jesus and has given Him a name above every name that at the Name of Jesus every knee must bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord. Teach Me pastor.

5. And Jesus said to Nicodemus Verily verily I say unto thee that you must be Born Again. In other words you must be regenerated. Because Regeneration is a change of Heart. Not only Regenerated but you’ve got to Repent.

Jesus said Repent because the Kingdom of Heaven of at Hand. Because Repentance is a change of Mind.

Then we have to be Converted. Because Conversion is a change of Lifestyle.

Then we have to be Sanctified. Because Sanctification of a change of Behavior. Then the book of Romans tell us that Jesus Justifies us and what that means is that when God the Father looks at Jesus’ blood covering our life He wipes away all our sins and declare us righteous. Ain’t God Alright. And So Justification is a change of State. I was on my way to hell with weapon in my hand and no God on my side Oh but Jesus stepped in just in the nick of time. Do you want to know what Happened after Christmas day was over ? Jesus picked me up turn me around put my feet on solid ground and now I can truly said “You can’t tell it like I can tell it what the Lord has done for me.

What happens after Christmas is over. If I sin and I know I will the bible says we have a advocate that will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness and His name is Jesus.

What happens after Christmas is over well there are still people who need to be baptized, still people who need to be christened, still people who need a healing, still people who needs deliverance, still people who need peace in their homes on their jobs in their community, and their are still people who desperately need the Love of God to be shedded in their hearts…

And this brings me to a hearty close. There are people who desperately need to hear about Jesus. And the bible says that the Shepherds went and spread ed abroad the Good News about the Miraculous, Majestic, Magnificent Birth of Jesus Christ.

And so in 2024 we too must spread the Good News because the bible says in Luke 2:17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. Stop right there! 3x The things which were told them by the shepherds.

Shepherds were boni fide men of God. God knew to get the shepherds to be the first witnesses because they were not foolish men.

Shepherds were also men of compassion, patience and integrity. Shepherds didn’t have a lot of money, position, power or influence, but they had Compassion and agape Love for the sheep they were pastoring. And God knew that about the Shepherds because a little known fact is that John the Baptist considered Jesus to be the precious Lamb of God and He Baptized Jesus in the Jordan River. Secondly the Shepherds were patient with the sheep because the bible says in your patience possess ye your souls. That means that the man of God’s life have to be anchored in the Lord. and not carried away with every wimp and wisk of doctrine. But comes to you with the sacred solid sound word of God.

And then finally the Shepherds had to have integrity with the sheep. God knew that He could count on the shepherds to take care of the sheep. In 2024 if the sheep need anything and i know about it I’ll be there like a jet in the vet. I’m only one phone call away.

And so What happened after Christmas

First of all It ought to be Glory to God in His House this morning.

Secondly, It ought to be Peace on Earth.

Thirdly, It ought to be Good will towards your brothers and sisters that you see everyday.

What ought to happen after Christmas as this year comes to a close ?

1. We ought to love God today than yesterday.

2. We ought to Praise God with our whole heart .

3. We ought to worship God more sincerely.

4. We ought to Honor the Lord with the first fruits of our increase. Next year give more robust, heartily, sincerely and joyfully. because God loves a cheerful giver. Listen if you can spend crazy money of Christmas gifts, get togethers and gatherings for people who can’t save your soul, then think about spending and investing in Jesus who gives all of us a right to the tree of life. And then

# 5 We ought to come to church more next year than we did this year than we did last year. And parents bring your children and grandchildren and great grandchildren to church because the world as we knew it has changed and we better get ready for the new changes that are bound to come. And so when ever and how ever the changes come I want to make sure that whatever happens after Christmas that I’m on the Lord’s Side.
