Mighty Creator - Day 8
Section 2: Creator God
8. Mighty Creator
God created it all—separating light from the darkness, land from water, day from night. He is transcendent, mighty, and strong. He displays His supreme power, sovereignty, and faithfulness in His covenant relationship with you.
Scripture: Genesis 1, 2;
Isaiah 40:28 - Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
John 1:1-5 - 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it.
Psa 95:7-8 7 For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture,
And the sheep [a]of His hand.
Today, if you will hear His voice:
8 “Do not harden your hearts, as in the [b]rebellion,
As in the day of [c]trial in the wilderness,
God's speaking is portrayed as a fundamental aspect of creation and divine communication. God speaks to declare His creation and salvation, intending to inform us about God and involve us in God[1][2]. This concept of God speaking is rooted in Scripture, with Psalm 95:7-8 urging listeners to "drop everything and listen" as God speaks[1][2]. God's speaking is a primary means of entering into covenantal relationships, citing examples from Adam to David[3]. Many key divine actions in creation and redemption history are "speech acts," including creation itself, as described in Genesis 1:3[3]. Additionally, one article mentions that God speaks to bring blessing and judgment, emphasizing that His words are not hypothetical but committed promises to His people[4].

Prayer: Mighty Creator, it amazes me how You, who created the sun, moon, and stars, desire a relationship with me. Thank You! Help me to notice Your beauty around me
