Get Ready for the New Thing
Get Ready for the New Thing
Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters,
Who brings forth the chariot and horse, The army and the power (They shall lie down together, they shall not rise; They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick):
“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
The beast of the field will honor Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I give waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My people, My chosen.
This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise.
It is Time to be Restored
It is Time to be Restored
God restored Israel after bondage in Egypt.
God restored Judah after bondage in Babylon and Persia.
God wants to restore you and me.
Get Ready for the New Thing
Get Ready for the New Thing
God never change in His nature and character, but He still does new things.
Many times, the “new thing” is an “old thing” revealed to a “new generation”.
The New Thing Requires a CHOICE
The New Thing Requires a CHOICE
The new thing will not happen automatically. We must make a DECISION to embrace the new thing that God wants to work in our lives.
I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
The New Thing Requires CHANGE
The New Thing Requires CHANGE
Choice without change means nothing.
If we do the same thing that we have always done, we will get the same things we always had.
If we want something better, we have to do better things
Change requires a re-calibration in DIRECTION.
We must forget the former things and the things of old.
Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
We must change our attitude, thoughts, words, and actions.
The New Thing Requires CONSECRATION
The New Thing Requires CONSECRATION
Change will be reflected in our CONSECRATION to God.
Consecration requires a new level of DEDICATION to God.
Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?
And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”
Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”
“I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
The New Thing Requires COMMITMENT

The New Thing Requires COURAGE
The New Thing Requires COURAGE
Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is the ability to face and engage your fears.
God told Joshua to be strong and courageous.
For the people’s sake (Joshua 1:6)
For the Word’s sake (Joshua 1:7)
For the LORD’s sake (Joshua 1:9)
For the rebel’s sake (Joshua 1:18)
