Consider the apostles circumstances, they were ordinary men that followed a messiah who died embarrassingly. Now they are preaching he rose from the dead. Who is going to listen to what they have to say? That’s where God fills in the gap.
Miracles draw people to a message.

Any noteworthy point from Peter’s sermon that struck out to you?
Considering the special circumstance of the early apostles, miracles were needed to add credibility to the very new message of Jesus death and resurrection. What role do signs, wonders, and miracles play today in our mission field?
Will your coworkers/friends/classmates be convinced if they saw a miracle?
Peter uses a lot of direct language in his sermon saying “You” when talking the people. How can we be direct, but also loving and gentle in our messaging to people?
God loosened the pangs of death in verse 24. What does this mean for the christian today?
Are you scared of death?
In verse 36, Peter is answering the question “Who is Jesus” ? Who does Peter say Jesus is? How is this different/the same from what he said in verse 23?
The sermon Peter delivered was all about Jesus. Who He is and what he did. Why is it dangerous to deviate from this central message?
How do other people typically see Jesus? Who do they say He is? How would you help others move from the other ideas people have of Jesus to the idea of Jesus presented in verse 36?
What was the response of the people to this message?
In verse 38, two things are promised to those who repent and are baptized. Do you often find that one of those things is emphasized over the other? If so… why?
How does the gospel message change whole societies? How did it change the community of believers in verse 42-47?
Other than more churches, what else would change in our city if revival were to happen?
