God is Always Love

Welcome to Day 9 of 30, incorporating the names and attributes of our God into our understanding and our following God. Today, we want to talk about our God is love, a subject I covered some of in Sunday’s message. God is love is a cornerstone truth. He is always love. In every situation, he is love, even when you don’t understand his actions. He is still love.

9. Love

God’s love is so great that He gave His only Son to bring us into fellowship with Him. God’s love encompasses the world and embraces you personally and intimately.

Scripture:

Psalm 13:5 - But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

John 3:16-17 - 16“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

1 John 4:7-10 - 7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 10In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Prayer: Lord, Your love is limitless and sacrificial. Help me to trust Your unfailing love, especially when I’m tempted to base it on my performance. Teach me how to love others as You have first loved me.
