1 Peter 3:4 “But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.”
Isaiah 43:7 “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.”
The Great Price of the Hidden Man is said to be a meek and quiet spirit. This meek and quiet spirit reveals an individual who isn’t concerned with their own self-importance. They speak of one who is gentle, lowly, humble & considerate, not at all loud or bossy. A person with a Meek & Quiet spirit isn’t self-willed towards God nor do they have an ill-will towards man. The Meek & Quiet spirit reveals a Christlike character and a true inner unfading loveliness. True adornment comes from within, Meek in feeling, Quiet in words. God makes great reckoning of a quiet mind, because it is like Himself. He promised the earth to the meek, and heaven to the incorrupt and pure in heart.
A Meek & Quiet spirit does not break up home relations - The Meek & Quiet spirit produces unity and not division. It is a spirit which exalts and edifies, not one of defeat or destruction.
A Meek & Quiet spirit perfects the harmony of the home relations
The Meek & Quiet spirit is the most efficient power to enable one to bear the disabilities and difficulties of their home and life. This spirit nourishes those passive, gentle graces which enable us to bear, suffer and endure.
The Meek & Quiet spirit guides us in the moulding and training of the character of those who are possessed by it. This Meek & Quiet spirit brings all things into harmony. In its harmonizing work the spirit of the meek and quiet reveal a Christ-like influence through the Divine power of the Holy Spirit. This power resides in an openness and dependence upon prayer.
A Meek & Quiet spirit triumphs over the difficulties that arise in the home relations - In the midst of contentions, anxieties and afflictions this Meek & Quiet spirit will be victorious.
A Meek & Quiet spirit works in homes through its power in personal character - The supreme power of a Meek & Quiet spirit is power in character. This character is accomplished through the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
