2025 FBC Theme 1 TIMOTHY 4:12-16 2025 FBC Theme: 3 Building Thoughts 1. My life communicates: it is an example. 12 2. My life communicates belief. 13-14 3. My life communicates belief impacting others. 15-16 EVIDENT BELIEF: LIVING MY LIFE THAT OTHERS MAY KNOW GOD. GOD IS; THEREFORE, LIVE TO GIVE BY USING YOUR GIFTS TO SERVE GOD’S CHURCH. 4 TRUTHS ABOUT MY WORDS. 1. Words have great power. James 3:1-12 2. Words can be destructive. Eph. 4:25-31 3. Words can be constructive. Eph. 4:29-32; Prov. 25:11 4. Words flow out of my heart. Mt. 12:33-37 EVIDENT BELIEF IN MY WORDS 1. Live life without complaining and arguing. 14 2. The purpose of non-complaining living is your testimony in a broken world. 15 3. The end result of faithful words has eternal consequence. 16 EVIDENT BELIEF: Rather than complaining about temporal issues, use your words to accomplish eternal impact. APPLICATION 1. Identify what or who you have a tendency to complain and argue about. 2. Identify when you have a tendency to complain and argue? 3. Determine the heart issue going on in your life that leads to the arguing and complaining. APPLICATION 4. In the middle of your response, stop and ask yourself these “Word Questions”. a. Does my “loss of this” have eternal consequence? b. Am I more concerned about the gospel opportunity or about my rights and comforts? c. Is my response contributing to the other person’s right view of believers and ultimately God? d.Is my response something that I could rejoice with God about on judgment day? APPLICATION 5. Proactively respond constructively. EVIDENT BELIEF: USE YOUR WORDS TO IMPACT ANOTHER’S ETERNITY!
