Jesus’s final words with this Jewish religious leader explains why, though the Father did not send his Son to condemn the world, Christ’s coming nevertheless resulted in the condemnation of many. In short, people loved the darkness because of their passion for sin. Yet there is hope for all sinners who come to the Light. Such people recognize that all that they are is by the grace of the Son of God.
