“Hid” - κρύπτω (krupto)
To hide, conceal, or be hidden.
To escape notice.
Hid occurs 125 times in 129 verses.
1st occurrence is…
Genesis 3:8 “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.”
Contextual meaning is “to hide from someone searching as to avoid their presence.”
When man fell into sin he hid from God. When God saved man from his sins (Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”), He now hides man’s life from sin, self, and Satan.
God saved you from your sins, placed you in Christ, hid you from disaster, destruction, and denial.
