Opening Scripture:
Opening Scripture:
One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God. He noticed two empty boats at the water’s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon, its owner, to push it out into the water. So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there.
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”
“Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.
When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, Lord, please leave me—I’m such a sinful man.” For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him. His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed.
Jesus replied to Simon, “Don’t be afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people!” And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.
Simon (who would later become peter) was very stubborn
Simon and his crew worked hard all night trying to catch a load of fish to sell in the market to make a wage to support their families… BUT ended up catching nothing
Jesus had come into the town to start the ministry the Father purposed Him to start.
People were so attracted to the anointing of Jesus that they couldn’t help but to press in on Him.
Jesus was so crowded by people he had to step in an empty boat to get off of the shore to teach them effectively.
After the word went forth their was a call to action
Jesus called Simon to take the boat back out and cast his net again
Because of Simons obedience (Response to the call) it gave God the glory and lead into His blessing
Because of His obedience He was BLESSED with more then enough to the point his boat and his partners boat began to sink with the weight of what God had added onto them for listening and obeying!
Is Your boat empty?
Is Your boat empty?
And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
Often times when we feel that there is a need it appears that we are without
Could it be that the reason it appears we have nothing is because we don’t have what we want?
The boat can appear to be empty but when you start looking around from the lenses of gratitude you will realize how much you really have.
God is generous and will provide everything that we need
When we have Jesus we have all that we need!
Getting Over the appearance of being empty
Getting Over the appearance of being empty
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
When it appears that our boats are empty we can often times find it hard to give thanks for what is around us.
It is the will of God for us who are in Christ to be thankful and grateful for what we do have.
When come into the presence of God scripture teaches us to come with thanksgiving and praise.
If we fail to acknowledge the many blessings that God has already given to us all because we didn’t get one then we spiritually block the provision of God for our lives.
God will NEVER reward an ungrateful heart.
In order to acquire a grateful heart we must repent from coveting what others have.
We must learn to acknowledge the blessings that are already surrounding us
Lastly we must be humble enough to ask God as King David did to create in us a new heart and renew within us a right spirit.
Walking in FULLNESS..
Walking in FULLNESS..
When we learn how to acknowledge the many blessings of God that are already present within our lives we will realize how full we really are even when we are going through trying times.
Feel empty? You can be filled again with the presence of God… Be persistent in prayer and fasting, read the word, apply the word daily!
As we grow in the Spirit we will be filled even more with the presence of God that will radiate from us to draw people surrounding us closer to Jesus!
Walking in Fullness requires us to declare that we are full not based off of what we feel like or what it appears to be but instead what the word of God says!
Are you ready to be filled?
Are you ready to let your faith make provision for you?
This is your season to be blessed beyond measure!
