Galatians 6:7–8 KJV 1900
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Title: The Building Blocks for TODAY’S Success
We have been working on setting the agenda, pace, and direction of The Life Church for 2025.
In order to fulfil the mission of the church, Reach, Teach and Love Lincoln
In 2025 we are going to work on:
Balance
Intention
Together
Last week we said what we do MATTERS.
Sow a thought, reap an action.
Sow an action, reap a habit.
Sow a habit, reap character.
Sow character, reap a destiny.
I challenged you to this week:
Write your obituary/10 most wanted/Maxims for Life.
Perfect day/week work sheets
Who worked on this this week?
Pray, read your bible, study, fast
Who worked on this this week?
I asked you to spend time in James1.14-15
James 1:14–15 KJV 1900
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Discuss: We must work to control our thoughts, in order to control our actions…
Little things matter!
Luke 16:10 NLT
10 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.
Zechariah 4:10 KJV 1900
10 For who hath despised the day of small things? For they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; They are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
Big things begin with small steps!
Zerubbable shows up and the work is overwhelming…
What is his little shovel going to do when there is so much to be done!
But those that made fun of Zurubbabel would see him do a great work!
Who/what was the 7?
Represents the omnipresence of God - he is everywhere to see every LITTLE thing!
What we do matters!
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." - Aristotle
So what are you going to do?
Intentionally! This year.
What are your maxims for life?
What are the things you are going to work on today, this week to be the person you want to be?
What can you do to make the church better?
What are we going to do today, this week to become what we want to be?
