The Lord is Just - Day 16 of 30
Welcome to Day 16 of 30, incorporating the names and attributes of our God into our understanding and our following God. Today, we want to talk about God being a just God.
16. The Lord is Just
God is righteous and holy, fair and equitable in all things. You can trust Him always to do what is right.
Scripture:
Gen 18:25 - Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”
Deuteronomy 32:4 - 4He is the Rock, His work is perfect;
For all His ways are justice,
A God of truth and without injustice;
Righteous and upright is He.
Psalm 75:1-7 - 1 We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks,
For Your name is near;
Men declare Your wondrous works.
2 “When I select an appointed time,
It is I who judge with equity.
3 “The earth and all who dwell in it melt;
It is I who have firmly set its pillars.
Selah.
4 “I said to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’
And to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up the horn;
5 Do not lift up your horn on high,
Do not speak with insolent pride.’”
6 For not from the east, nor from the west,
Nor from the desert comes exaltation;
7 But God is the Judge;
He puts down one and exalts another.
Romans 3:25-26 - 25whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness because in the forbearance of God, He passed over the sins previously committed; 26for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Prayer: Lord, You are just and You see the need in our world for justice. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thank You for Jesus who paid the price for my life, for You remain both just and merciful.
