I think that's an awesome song because it testified to everything that's going on in our lives right now because things happen and bad things happen, but then when you trust in God, you know that he's going to deliver and I love the song. So good morning. Are y'all doing today? Good, I'm before you guys to do the announcements. And so we wanted to do a couple of house cleaning things just to let you know what's going on in our church. So the first thing that I want to talk about is Bible Study Bible study happens on Tuesday nights in Morgan Hill at the church office. We have an awesome time. We're talking about James were talking about trials and tribulations or talking about standing firm with God and then we also have snacks and food. That's alright encourage all of you guys to come out to Bible study so that we can all fellowship and one of the things that I love about Bible study is that you can ask a million questions. We have amazing discussions. You can just dive deeper in the word. So I encourage all of you guys to come out on Tuesday nights at 7 sharp and it's only like an hour and a half. So you're not missing that much out of your night and it's a really great time. And then also in September we're going to have a back-to-school weekend for all the kids.

I was looking for my mama, but she's not here. So on September 10th, we're going to have a school supply giveaway. We know that it's important for our kids to have an education and it's important that they're prepare for school. And so we want to help out with the community and provide school supplies so that your kids can begin to start the school year off right and get A's and B's and eventually go on to college and things.

And so then the following day on September 11th, we're going to have a kids day at church. And so that's more to come. My mom says to kill me when she gets here. If you see her after service, you can talk to her if you want to get involved with that if you want to participate in any way, I know that she has a sign-up list of things I need to be done. And so please invite your family and friends and after church, we will Point her out so that you can get involved with that. And then also the following week after that we got big things going on in September. So after that, we have the UCF friends and family National back to church today. And so that's going to be on September 18th. That's all we're looking for people who want to be involved in that and so that we can have this national day be a success and so we're hoping that all of you guys can come out on this day so that we can Fellowship. And then how many you guys like ribs and barbecue and potato salad macaroni and cheese? Okay. So we're going to have a fundraiser. What we're trying to do is we're trying to raise money for a new church building and so one of the first but yeah.

We have a really big huge go but we know that through Christ we can do everything and sell one of the first run fundraisers that we're going to do is a barbecue fundraiser and so system. sister bears She's in charge of this fundraiser. And so we're going to be selling chicken ribs potato salad macaroni and cheese, bread a whole bunch of stuff in food that we like to eat. And so please look out for that. We're also going to be delivering to people's homes were going to be taking orders. And so if you're interested in that if you just want to purchase some food, we love that and if you want to help out when it's telling you or preparing the food, we also encourage that as well. And then who knows what's happening on October 16th? Yes the church anniversary.

Yes, that's awesome. In our first year is going to be coming up in less in like 2 minutes and we really want this to be a success. We've had an amazing time during church service on Sundays and now is going to be coming up on our first year anniversary and we really want us to be a special day. We want all of you guys to invite all your friends and your family and we want to just have a amazing celebration. And so if you're interested in helping with that you can ask rent or you can ask us the bass and they're both involved in those things as well. And we really wanted to be a success because we wanted to be the light in this community. We want to bring God's word to people's world and so to celebrate that we're going to have those special event on October 16th. What time does Ohio and get some hugs and kisses me and green time?

I thank God for all the professionals that we have in our congregation right away past teacher Financial experts nurses. So we have just about anything that you need in this church. So if you need help with anything, just let us honor. Oh, yeah, that's me.

My mama bragging on me now, but we have a lot of we want to know what your talents are so that we can begin to serve the community. And so if you guys have any talents that you wish to help tide with cuz it's not always about money. I think we're ever going to talk about that scene. I don't hear but it's also about what your talents are as well. And so if you have any talents that you want to give to the church, just let us any one of the leadership know so does everybody have a program?

Okay, so in the program we have the connection cards and the connection cards. This is how we stay connected to you. I remember going through some stuff and when God deliver me from it, you can't stop from giving him praise a man. Amen, cuz it may not be you going through something but it may be the person next to you going through something they meant so you really want to keep family members church family members friends in prayer cuz you never know what they're going through a man. We going to keep moving forward. So we going to talk about two concepts today. The first one is tithing and when we going to deal with Tide and because what God gave me for our ministry is that we're going to be tithers and givers, you know, some you can go and find out all the way out. That's the Old Testament and it's not there you go find that but what God has given to me as the undershepherd of this ministry is that we're going to be tithers and we're going to be exceptional givers and man and an in the kingdom of God, it's different than the world. God blesses you when you give more of yourself, when you give up of what he has given to you when you get back to him first and then you give to those that he has a charge due to give to so that's the first thing we going to talk about title little bit. But before we we deal with that, there's also the heart issue. I know sometimes we a lot of us were brought up in a lot of people brought up in the church and they were heard about tithing and it became an obligation like I got to do. So, I just thought we study the text today as we listen to the look at the text today. It is really a heart issue. It's where your heart is which drives what do you tithe or where you whether you become an exceptional Giver it so we're going to deal with the issue of tiny. But we also want to deal with the issue of where is my heart at when it comes to that the ordinance of tithing. Amen. Alright, so sorry. I found it. Thank you. Let stand the number to the third letter John and the second verse. So let's read that together says beloved. I pray that you may prosper in all things and being held as your soul prospers listen beloved. I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health just as your soul prosper and y'all know we have a confession of Faith a man because you can't do anything in the church. You can't please God unless you operate by faith. So we going we going to speak the said after me I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel.

I am moved by what I believe.

I believe the word of God.

The victory is mine. I have it now. I can see it through the ice in my face. In Jesus name amen. You may be seated. Amen. Alright, so we've been talking about this last week. We talked about receiving your inheritance and we're talking about the whole concept of being prosperous and to prosper and we know the definition is 2XL to prosperous take Celtics to go to the highest place in anything to operate an overflow. So when we talkin about prosperous, we're not talking about just being mediocre. We're not talking about just being a benchwarmer. We're talking about running the game. Alright, we're not talking about just going to to to the stadium return my own in the stadium a man. We're talking about moving to a place where God's people are on top of everything cuz we're the head and not the tail. We're talking about not struggling for everything. It's too many of us struggling for too much that when God says when he blesses you you can rest in that blessing ain't you? We've got to get it in our hearts and our mind that we're God is calling us to prosper to be the head and not the tail to run the mountain to be on top of the mountain. Whatever it is that you doing in your work in your in your neighborhood. Whatever it is being the best. Tell your neighbor to be the best. All right. And so we go look at tithing as a component of this whole concept of being prosperous.

so This is really important to me. So What about young people? Cuz it was for a while. I have been preaching on faith, right? They man everybody know I've been preaching on faith if anybody's really listening I come to realize yes, there are people are listening. So what are young people wrote in there in his notebook? He says I have faith in my family. Another reason that's important because you you hear a lot of folks say I love my family. But when you talk about having faith, that means you trust your family your trust dad to be there your trust mom to be there. You trust your brother you trust in them to be there for you. And I know that takes it to a whole nother level and so when I saw that when I got it I said man, this means a lot for young person to be operating in faith to say, you know what I trust my family now, I got another note that I'm going to post up in my office where you goes a little deeper, but I got to tell you what when we hear young people operating in faith and talking about faith it moves from just that dimension of yeah, I love my mom, but no I'm trusting y'all to be examples. I'm trusting y'all to be there. I'm trusting y'all to do what you said your going to do. That's a whole different dimension. That's what God is asking us to do is to trust A man, that's the one I saw this I said man my bus my heart at least one person listening to what I'm saying. So come on up here.

amen So if I can get my notes together cuz you know, the devil is always busy and anytime. I was telling time back there anytime I use technology. I have to I have to watch what I say because you know the power of life and death is in the tongue and if you speak something out trust me, it'll happen. So I don't speak all the technology will work. It will work. I'm not I'm not speaking anything negative because when you speak something negative it show comes back. Alright.

So it's so yes, I'm speaking. It's going to work. I'm going back to the introduction. So I've been studying this one of the essential components of dealing with this whole issue of prosperity and being prosperous is is understanding what God wants us to do. Okay. So God is calling his people to have faith in him. That's number one because without faith. It's impossible to please God and then he gives us some ordinances and and and he says to to listen to my word to to heed to my word to to operate in the in the word that I'm giving you and don't stray from it. And there's a reason why God wants us to follow his work because he knows what the outcome is going to be a man. And so when we when we get these when we get these guide words in our spirit will prepare to move in the direction that he's calling causing us to move into so my flesh would want to do this but God is saying stay here a man and so it's really important that we get the word in us so weak will know what to do in any and every situation So when I said Okay God, how do we handle this issue of being obedient obedient through the time and it just teach the people what I say about tithing amen. And so I realize I was studying this that there was more to the scripture in Malachi that we we really hit we will talk about what year we hear the scripture will a man rob God, right? You heard that in church me a time when we can look at it from a different perspective.

He was he was reaching out to his children his people saying there's something I want you to do to show not me, but the world how you feel about me. Don't know is it's really pouring. So if if if I'm going to show my father my my biological father, right if I'm going to show him that I love him. There may be some things I want to do the show him that it was some physical things I want to do to show him that and it's the same thing with God when we say we love God, there's some physical things that we can do as well as some spiritual things are you with me? And so I want to look at this text. So grab them if you have to buy those go to Malachi chapter chapter 1 I don't want you to kind of follow along with me because we going to see God from a little different perspective in in Malachi chapter. 1 starting with verse one that says this is the message that the lord gave to Israel through the prophet Malachi. Go to verse number to the first thing. God says is he says I have always loved you. Now now when I read that the Holy Spirit just kind of resting my heart in sand and help me and made me say I made me go back and reread it. He said I've always loved you. When I realize how much God love through all the stuff that I've been through through all the decisions that I made that we're not in line with what he wanted. He still says I have always loved you. Interesting thing is there's so many people out of work Looking For Love or desire for someone to to care about them and love them and God is saying I've always loved you. I've always cared about you. I've always wanted the best for you and someone we start from that premise of God always loving you then it deals with a heart with the heart. It's so when someone tells you I love you, they're not dealing with with with with.

They're dealing with the heart issue. That's why I want to say. They're dealing with a heart issue and your mama tells you she loves you. That's a hard as you have your daddy tells you he loves you if your wife her or her husband tells you that's a hard as you there chance babe. I want you to know something about how I'm feeling about you. I have no matter what we go through no matter how hard it is. I want you to always know. I've always loved you and will always love you. That's important for us to know as we walk through understanding why God is asking us to do some things because he's always love this no matter how challenging life is. God always loves you. Tell your neighbor. God loves you. What you got to say it like you mean it God loves you. As always loves you. When you get that in your spirit, then you can you can think about things or some guy says I've always loved you. Here's what we do just like the children of Israel. We say really

Walmart, it comes in different variation, but we're always challenging what the word of God says in the fact that God loves for the first thing they say is really and then how have you love it? Because I'm going through some stuff. And if you love me, why am I going through what I'm going through and not in that the question is not what we go through for being transparent. It would being real with ourselves. Don't we always ask God really? Show me how you love me. When when all the stuff that's going on that God is taking care of her life. The one thing that goes wrong and we don't like we like okay really God if you really love me. Why am I going through this?

So when was Sam Mills no different than what the children of Israel said in this recorded in Malachi. The Bible says they returned it really how have you Lord have that how have you loved us? And the Lord reply is how I show my love for you. I love your grandma. Your great grandma your grandaddy when they was trying to hang him up. I took care of that so that you could get here and then I didn't abort you. I have always loved you. I took care of you. I put a roof over your head. I put clothes on your back. I put food on the table. I've always loved you and giving you air to breathe. I put shoes on your feet. I've always loved you and you still asking well, tell me how you love me. A man, he said I took care of your your ancestors in front of children is really went all way back to Jacob. He something I made a promise and when I make a promise, I'm not like a man. I don't lie. And when I tell you I'm going to do something I'm going to do something. I will always love you when everyone else kicks you to the curb. I will always love you when you do the worst thing that anybody can possibly think of doing I will always love you and when I got that in my spirit, I realize that God was talking to me about a heart issue. It wasn't about a money issue. It was a heart issue because when you love somebody you want to make sure they're happy you want to do the best for them. You want to give back to them with their given to you a man don't have any Witnesses hear anybody ever felt love a man. You know what that feels like a man. I will save that for later. All right, go to the go to the next.

So let's jump down to six. It says the Lord of Heaven's Army says to the priests. A son honors his father and a servant respect his master. If I'm your father. and your master Where is the honor? Did I deserve and respect where is the honor and respect I deserve so he sent to the people you say I'm your lord you say I'm glad you say all that you need and you say I'm the beginning in the end in your life. You say all of those things then where is the owner? Where's the respect? And it really really applies to worship. How is it that you can honor someone and not give them your best? How is it that you can respect someone and not do things that they are asking you to do? Where is the honor? Where is it? He asked if he's asking us the same thing today as children of God as Believers of Jesus Christ. Where is the Earth?

How is it that we can give respect to everything else? and dishonor God

How is it that God can be low on the totem pole and people that don't even like us are in the higher state than him. He asked the question if I'm your father. And master, what is the honor respect I deserve cuz it says I hope your show is content for my name. And again, we are so arrogant and our religion we say but showing contempt in your name.

That's that's that human flesh. Wait a minute. You going to have to show me? How did that that's what that's just fine. You know what when somebody say this is you hurt my feelings if I hurt your feelings, I'm sorry.

No, I'm telling you. You hurt my feelings. There's no if about it. You just have to accept the responsibility that you've done it. Is it bugs me when people will if I hurt your feelings or if I did this thing then I guess you did it. I saw water saying the same thing. Wait a minute, you're showing contempt and disrespect for me. What how am I showing disrespect you is if I showed this is not for you then I'm sorry. Is happening in in the body of believers.

He says in this instance, you have shown me contemporary offering defile sacrifices on the altar now. Y'all know and Old Testament. They were supposed to bring the best bulls and goats that she whatever they were on top of it was supposed to be the best. Number one. No blemishes. Nothing today. We're supposed to bring up that's worship. We supposed to bring our best friend was supposed to bring our best offer and I don't give were supposed to take out Temple and make it the back, please. And yes, you look back then they were bringing booze and Goten and all of them had defect my question and the Holy Spirit arrested me and said and said, where is your worship at? Are you giving me your best priest? preacher Reverend are you giving me your best? And if he challenging those who are supposed to be in leadership, and the people are following the leader than everything is jacked up in my van. I'm not giving the best friend those were looking at me and follow me at Benjamin the best. Show me Spring Rolls downhill a man chases. Then you ask how have we the father's sacrifice. He says you can find them by saying alter the little or no respect you coming to Sanctuary you do whatever you want to do. As a child of God you say whatever you want to say you act. However you want to act that's how you show contempt. That's how you disrespect. God people have to tell you away. You can use that language. Oh, no, you can't do that. I'm living my life. Wasn't you the following God as a child of God? Can we get this thing real? No, we can't do everything we want to do we can't act the way we all just cuz we want we're bringing this respect to God. But nobody wants to hear that. Because everybody wants to believe what the world is saying you do whatever you want to do and God is going to be happy with it. But it just right here. He said you were bringing disrespect and dishonor. So what boils down to is we all have a heart issue. Because trust me if we truly love somebody we wouldn't disrespect them or Dishonored. amen All y'all not shown on that one. Ain't nobody got up and said a little your praise the Lord. That's me. Jesus. Help me change me and I look around like I wish you would move off that point. Hey, man, let's see. We can't have the bitter. I mean we can't have the sweet without the bitter amen and all throws through so they can use us and give us everything that he wants to give us keep going for me. When you get blind animals that sacrifice at in that wrong. And isn't around all four animals that are crippled and disease try giving gifts like that to your governor and see how please he is says the Lord of the heavens Army try try not to give Uncle Sam his money see what happens you will end up under the jail a man trying to give Uncle Sam less than what he is asking for something that we can relate to cuz he don't take his off the top cuz he don't trust you. You might be giving him some blind crippled and crazy stuff a man. When was think about it? Why wouldn't we give God our best? How dare we in our religious arrogance say I can do and say and be whatever I want to be and bring dishonor to God. Churches be open all over the United States into end and folks are acting like the church belongs to them. What would happens to respect and in the temple respect in the end in the in the sanctuary? What happened to that? What happened to when you're away from church people still know when you save What happened? And why are we constantly dishonoring God and giving him less than a man?

I let let me say this to everybody here. I'm only giving you what God has given to me. If if if if it moves you in a different way, that's a good thing. Because that's God Quicken you. And saying I need your attention in this area. And it should be pretty in all of us. Because the word is designed to cut through stuff. A man and sometimes we get Cloud it in in the world. We things in the religious things and we forget what the word of God is said. Amen. It's always says 9 go ahead big guy to be merciful to you. But when you bring that kind of offering why should why should he show any kind of favor at all? So he says this

number one start with bringing God your best. That we can all say God. I'm sorry. Write how many of us know we we been sorry for a lot of stuff. Right? We we said we sorry, you know in the next week we bring back the same thing. And we wonder why God isn't showing the mercy and favor Lord. Why are my finances jacked up? Well, maybe look at your relationship with me.

Why is this happening in my life? Well, maybe you disrespecting me.

Why is this? Why is this? Okay Lord? I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Okay, can't you get over it lower? Yeah, I'm over it. But obviously you're not because you keep doing it. a man So he says why would God be moved to show any of us any favor when we keep bringing him that saying stuff. Tell your neighbor to hardest. All right. Can we get some errands here before? I pass out and you may say it's a heart issue. It's a note say it's it's my heart issue. A man. Alright go to the next one.

Reverse number 10 and says how I wish one of you would shut the temple door so that these worthless sacrifices could not be offered. I'm not pleased with you.

You come to church and you act like you doing God a favor? Not pleased with you. You hold back on everything know you have talents and gifts and you give it to the world but not to the church. I'm not pleased with you you come up with excuses for why you can't do whatever it is. God is asking you to do he says I'm not pleased with you. This is scripture. I'm not making this up when I read it it convicted me. Because there's always much more than we can be doing for the kingdom of God, but whenever God asks us either through the church the man of God the woman of God, we always come up with an excuse as to why we can't do it. God says, I'm not pleased with you a man. And he says when you come and this is the thing that got me because on Sundays a lot of us get it together for Sunday for those two hours and we coming out religion in our Holiness and we act like all of this and we give God these offerings and Jesus that we start speaking in tongues and we start running around. He said I'm not impressed with that.

And if you travel at all, you know, it's some folk and other places that's giving God Crazy Praise Worship in him in spirit. And in truth man. We have to be we got to get the praise team to get us up and get up and move it then you should be coming in here with your worship you because you should be coming in here with your place. And when you bring your crazy and I'll bring the appraiser this whole thing is what if I ain't got nothing to do. Looking for somebody that's always getting me something. The first thing I don't know cuz I didn't get nothing out of church and then when you don't bring nothing to church today, amen and you wonder what's wrong with your life. A man y'all got to watch religion cuz religion has domed us down religious. It has told us wait for the preacher to tell you and God it says study to show yourself approved. Religion is saying no just get folks to come in today for a while. Don't go out. Don't increase the kingdom of God. Y'all just take care of your little self and that's what's happening with churches. Now, they're turning Inward and if we all turn in with the only person I can focus on as you are the only person you can focus on in me cuz we only want to hear a man. But if we keep our Focus outward why I always have to go out and bring new people and introduce them to Jesus. You know what I ain't got too much time to be focusing on you. Amen. And so my parents don't look right with my jacket you be my brother. You know what I'm happy you hear, you know, I ain't got no time to be focusing on what you have and don't have we got to go out and tell somebody about Jesus. A man, so we have to watch that at any point in time members of UCF. We start turning inward y'all stop. Telegraph pass. We turning inward. We focusing on ourselves. That's the key that we got to get back out of these four walls and tell somebody about Jesus Christ. That's what's happening with churches today. They're imported and they got so comfortable because of religious. They can't do anything else a man.

I can point it everybody else. But God is pointing at me. He said your actions see we good at pointing at other folks. You're saying it's all right to the following statement you bring that prays that that that don't mean anything ain't touch nobody heart worship. You think God is impressed with that? Who's the god of having the nerve he knows exactly when that worship is coming for my heart. He knows when it's coming from a place where we care and love about him. You need to bring me to lift up my hands. I ain't got to worry about what somebody else is thinking, but I praise is what they going to think of me. Who care. We heard what God is doing for you. God is good for you. And when God is happy for you. You got to give him all of your friend. What do you think of me and how I felt so real they can't put you in heaven or hell? So why you worried about what they think to be honest? We're going to be like you. And you worried about her. Can I keep that real?
