Trust His Perspective

Galatians 3:27–29 “27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.”
I can’t imagine a better week to discuss Gods perspective than this week. Sometimes in life we are blessed with those who can see God’s perspective and can share it regardless of the cost. Dr.Martin Luther King JR was one of those men. Born on January 15, 1929. Born the second of 3 children to his parents Martin Luther King Jr was born Michael King Jr. His father being a baptist minister at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta was sent on a mission trip and to the Baptist World Association meeting. At that meeting the Baptist World Association announced that any and all racism violated our Heavenly Fathers laws and morals. Upon his return from Germany where he also studied reformation leader Martin Luther, Michael King Sr changed his name and his 5 year old son’s names to Martin Luther King Sr and Jr. As a child Martin and his siblings would read aloud the Bible. After dinner his grandmother would tell lively stories from the Bible. When Martin became friends with a white boy they would play and enjoy their fun times. When they were about 6 they started school and because of segregation they had to attend different schools. After a while the parents of the other child stopped allowing them to play together explaining to Martin that we are white and you are black. Martin said he hated every white person because he lost his only friend. His parents taught him it was his heavenly obligation to love all people. These events would lead Martin to teach all of us how to love like the Father loves. In the Bible we are presented with a God who loves all people and has no discrimination but sees us as all His creation and His children. Today we will see in the Bible that we can trust God because of His perspective. Turn in your Bible to Galatians 3. We will be in verses 27-29. In these scriptures we will see three things about Gods perspective. First there are only Believers and the lost in Gods perspective. Second, there is no human hierarchy in God’s eyes. Third, there is only 1 family in God’s eyes. Read with me the scripture. Galatians 3:27-29
Galatians 3:27–29 ESV
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

God sees only 2 types of people

Galatians 3:27 ESV
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Galatians 3:27 “27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
In it out. There are no classifications for him. He views us as two types of people there are those who are clothed in Christ or those who are not closed in Christ. As a human race, we often people whether it be by race, social age or the many other ways that we can classify people because we do this we often times assume that God does this the same we classify people as well good bad evil somewhat mostly overly holy. The list goes on and on how we classify people God says in his perspective, though they’re only two people those who believe in those who don’t believe and so with that in view, how should we view our world our world is viewed simply from those who those who don’t believe Martin Luther King Jr. viewed this the same way he understood that God’s view was that all people are created equal all people are seen as equal in the view of God that are human classifications for people are out of biased many times and simply seek to serve our own purposes. What classifications are in your kind and heart? Do you have a biblical view or do you have the view that you grew up with or feel like is important? Dr. Martin Luther King Jr said it this way.
“Love is the greatest force in the universe. It is the heartbeat of the moral cosmos. He who loves us a participant in the being of God”- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
In other words there are 2 types of people in this world. The ones who take part in Christ and love like Christ and those who have no moral compass and think only to please themselves. There is no middle ground. There is no other view with God. There are those who know Christ and because they know Christ they know how to love others or there are those who do not know Christ and only love themselves. Which of these people are you?
As a child my parents raised me too not see anyone based on the color of their skin but on the content of their character. People were either good people or bad people. While growing up this gave me a great view to see the world. I was not limited in my ability to make friends. My best fried growing up, many of you have met him was named Juicy. Antwon was his real name but we all called him juicy. I stayed at Juicy’s house in the weekends, his papa was a pastor and many sundays I was worshiping at their church in Sanderson FL. I was grateful to be viewed as one of the kids by Grandma small and papa small. I remember waking up early one Saturday morning and sitting in the living room with papa small watching gunsmoke. I looked at him and I told him that this had just proved my dad’s point. He watched gunsmoke just like my dad did and he loved me like my dad did. Grandma small loved me like my mom loved me. I ex0aim3d to him what my dad and mom had taught me. He looked at me and he said that while I was right that there were only 2 types of people in this world if I didn’t love all people even the bad people that I was still missing the way Jesus loved.
Scripture teaches us that God sees us not based on any other classification other than being clothed with Jesus.
1 Samuel 16:7 ESV
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7 “7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.””
1 John 3:1 ESV
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
1 John 3:1 “1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”
1 Peter 2:9 ESV
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
1 Peter 2:9 “9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
John 3:16 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16 “16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
God sees us and loves us all. We are either in Christ or we are not in Christ. God does not prevent anyone from being in Christ. God desires that all will be clothes in Christ and that none will perish. There are only 2 types of people with God those in Christ and those not in Christ.

There is no human hierarchy in God’s perspective.

Galatians 3:28 ESV
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:28 “28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
In this scripture, God clarifies that in his view, there is only one hierarchy. He is the father and we are children. There are no races. There are no sexes. There are no classifications in get to determine that they are better than one another or that they can compare to God, the father. In this scripture, it first states that no Jew nor that we see the destruction of this concept of races. Jews did not associate with Greeks and Greeks did not associate with Jews. Jews represented the “chosen race” while Greeks represented the “gentile race”. The Jews believed that God had chosen them superior to all other races when in fact God chose them as the servant to all other races. The race in which He would bless all other races. In God’s kingdom there are no races. In this scripture we see race destroyed. We also see social status destroyed.
Galatians 3:28 ESV
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Here when it says there is no slave nor free it’s destroying the social classes that were taken in this time. The social classes determined whether you were a free man or a slave to somebody a slave didn’t entail, necessarily someone who was sold into slavery or forced into slavery, a slave could be a bond servant, someone who owed someone money and was paying it off until such a time that they paid their debt would be considered a slave. There was in fact, though sold slavery, then entailed someone being sold into slavery and being used for forced labor. This scripture destroys the aspect of slavery and puts all men in direct subjection to God and not to each other. It does not stop there though, it even destroys the classes of sex. This does not mean that God is opening the door to all the way out things we see today. This is meaning that wives do not answer to their husbands and husbands do not answer to or for their wives, we all answer to God. There are no classifications in the perspective of God.
One of Dr. King’s most famous quotes
“ I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
This is the world God wants us to live in a world where He is the ultimate and we love Him with our whole heart and others as ourselves.
Matthew 22:37–39 ESV
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 22:37–39 “37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
This is the world that we should live in. Loving others with no prejudice or bias and loving God with all that we have. God has no place in His kingdom for anyone to think that they can take His place. There is no hierarchy other than the Heavenly one in which we are all subject to God. As believers we do not get to look at each other with any bias. We are together as one body of Christ. We function together. The devils greatest tactic to weaken the church is to divide us. We must stand as one body inn Christ and oppose any of the worlds views that would separate us from the body of Christ.
At a meeting of the American Psychological Association, Jack Lipton, a psychologist at Union College, and R. Scott Builione, a graduate student at Columbia University, presented their findings on how members of the various sections of 11 major symphony orchestra perceived each other. The percussionists were viewed as insensitive, unintelligent, and hard-of-hearing, yet fun-loving. String players were seen as arrogant, stuffy, and unathletic. The orchestra members overwhelmingly chose "loud" as the primary adjective to describe the brass players. Woodwind players seemed to be held in the highest esteem, described as quiet and meticulous, though a bit egotistical. Interesting findings, to say the least! With such widely divergent personalities and perceptions, how could an orchestra ever come together to make such wonderful music? The answer is simple: regardless of how those musicians view each other, they subordinate their feelings and biases to the leadership of the conductor. Under his guidance, they play beautiful music.
The body of Christ functions when we lay aside any feelings of superiority and we love each other and serve God.
1 Corinthians 15:22 ESV
For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
1 Corinthians 15:22 “22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.”
God did not break this down into Jew or Greek, did He? Nope we are all one, none superior to the other in light of death and life.
Acts 17:26 ESV
And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place,
Acts 17:26 “26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place,”
Romans 5:12–13 ESV
Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned— for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law.
Romans 5:12–13 “12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned— 13 for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law.”
Hebrews 1:2–4 ESV
but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.
Hebrews 1:2–4 “2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.”
God is and Christ are superior, all of us, we are the same in the eyes of God. None of us are better than the person to our right or left. The things we utilize to tell ourselves we are more important for, God sees as foolishness.
Are you willing to lay down the things you have long held about others and serve God as a body of Christ? In Gods perspective there are only those who believe and those who don’t, God is the only king and all of us serve Him together. Lastly in God’s perspective there is only 1 family.

There is only 1 family in God’s perspective.

Galatians 3:29 ESV
And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.
Galatians 3:29 “29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.”
To take further after telling us that there’s no hierarchy in our world other than God is the top. He goes step further and says that family. Those who believe one family one body is one thing but one family is a whole new picture. God does not want us to view as equals, but yet as brothers and sisters and his kingdom to his kingdom, his children. God has called us to never look at each other and view each other is more but to serve each other like Christ served us laying himself down on cross for us the way that God loved us and that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. The church has an obligation to show the world, the love of Christ, regardless of race sex or any other bias, we can put on people. The church should be the shining light of Hope where all people can see that in God we’re one in God we’re together in God we are family not just friends not just acquaint acquaintances not just people meeting together, but a true family a family that doesn’t look at each other for the outward look of our skin the color of our skin the cars we drive the house as we live in the clothes we wear none that we see and sisters in Christ. This is why the Bible tells us brotherly kiss with love with showing respect towards each other with greeting each other as brothers and sisters to call one brother is not a religious a family title. It’s a relationship title. It’s not saying brother saying you are my brother in Christ. We are together. This is what it’s saying it’s time for the church to be the leader in our world to take the next step in our world to break the barriers in our not allow the devil to continue to divide into conquer he doesn’t get to do that when we stand on the family when we show each other that regardless of where our ancestors came from The minute, we Christ, we’re brothers and sisters together in the kingdom of overrides every physical genealogy that we might have.
To quote Dr. King one last time
“The beauty of genuine brotherhood and peace is more precious than diamonds or silver or gold.”
God wants us to take this deeper than being a body of Christ then being good friends then being acquaintances, he wants us to look at each other with deep needed love for desire to see the best in each other to be a the seed of Abraham, the goodness of what God created. To bring back the world that he created before the fall of man before the tower of Babel, and before we all began to seek our own desires and selfishness, this is what God is restoring. God is restoring his creation to brothers and sisters in one reaching towards our father. God wants us to view each other as family.
Hebrews 10:24–25 ESV
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Hebrews 10:24–25 “24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
1 John 4:12 ESV
No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
1 John 4:12 “12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.”
Galatians 6:2 ESV
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2 “2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Romans 12:10 ESV
Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
Romans 2:10 “10 but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek.”
1 John 4:7–11 ESV
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
1 John 4:7–11 “7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
Are you living the life of obedience to God loving others the way He has called you to? Some in here need to lay down deep held prejudice and hate. Some of you in here need to give your heart to God so you can understand what His love is.
