Proverbs 3:5–10 KJV 1900
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the Lord, and depart from evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel, And marrow to thy bones. 9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, And with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, And thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
Hebrews 10:25 KJV 1900
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Title: In all our ways: Together
Subtitle: The Greatest Value in the church
One of the greatest commands of scripture is TOGETHER.
Commands for Together:
Romans: Comforted together, planted together, glorified together, work together, strive together
1 Corinthians: Joined together, labor together, gather together, come together 6 times - including in the church, in one place, eat together, wait together, God has tempered the body together, sing together
2 Corinthians: sing together, speak in tongues together, help each other together, pray together, work together
Ephesians: gather together, encouraged together, raised up together, sit together in heavenly places, built together, joined together,
Philippians: one mind working together, followers of Paul together
Colossians: quickened together, knit together,
1 Thessalonians: caught up together, live together, comfort ourselves together, gather together,
Hebrews: assemble together
Peter said: heirs together, elected together
Revelation: rolled together, gathered together
Everything that we do, has got to be done together!
Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 KJV 1900
9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Why to we are doing it together!
The rewards, help up, warmth, protection
We need each other!
Single 2,000 lb draft horse can pull 4,000 lbs.
Most popular car sold in US: Ford F-series weighs 4,021 lbs
Two 2,000 lb draft horses can pull 12,000 lbs
3 times what one can pull
Four 2,000 lbs draft horses can pull 50-60,000 pounds!
5 times more than what two can pull
15 times more than one!
Tell me again that together is not important!
Conclusion:
Gather in groups of two - not related. Give each group a one dollar bill.
Have them tear it in two pieces - we have no value without the other person!
Put in wallet and bill fold and take with you everywhere you go and be reminded of this! WE CAN ONE DO TOGETHER!
The true value in the church is YOU!
Proper spelling: Val-YOU
You have no value without the other!
50 - 2,000 pound draft horses could pull as much as 1,200,000 pounds!
300 times more than a single horse!
300 times more reaching!
300 times more teaching!
300 times more loving!
