Welcome to Day 21 of 30, incorporating the names and attributes of our God into our understanding and our following God. Today, we are looking at the God who intercedes for us.

21. Intercessor

Knowing our temptations, God the Son intercedes for us. He opens the doors for us to boldly ask God the Father for mercy. Thus, God is both the initiation and conclusion of true prayer.

Scripture:

1 Kings 13:6 - “Then the king answered and said to the man of God, “Please entreat the favor of the Lord your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me.” So the man of God entreated the Lord, and the king’s hand was restored to him, and became as before.”

Romans 8:34 - “Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.”

Hebrews 4:14-16 - “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

Prayer: Jesus, my Intercessor, thank You for bridging the gap so I can always come boldly to the Father in prayer. Thank You, Jesus, for praying for me as You know perfectly what is best for my life and what I need in each moment
