v. 13 |
The direct connection between wisdom on the inside and action on the outside. This is clearly displayed with our words. The wisdom discussed here is not just head knowledge but also character that is shaped by wisdom.
What is the point of the rod? Used for directional correction.
v. 14 |
The wise are going to lay up knowledge. Such as a highly valued collection, it is gathered up in all sorts of ways. Let’s talk a moment about gathering knowledge from various sources. Movies, books, conversations with all sorts of people.
Meanwhile, what is produced by the fool brings ruin. It is not specified whether or not the ruin is just near to the fool or also to those who are around him.
