Context:
Luke writing to Theopholis. It is meant to be read with the Gospel of Luke

For believers as a confirmation and assurance of their faith. Predominantly Gentile
Content:
v.1He is on trial yet again, fighting against injustice and those who want to see him locked up and killed. Yet he says “I consider myself fortunate to stand before you today.” He is using the situation in which he found himself as his mission field. There is no greater honor for him than to defend himself and the person of Jesus against the Jews.
v.3 King Agrippa is the “king of the Jews.” Festus is a Roman official with no understanding of Jewish practice. His father was zealous for the law, and he himself had the office of president of the temple and its treasures, and the appointment of the high priest
v1. [ἀπελογεῖτο]—‘made his defence.’
v4. Our life is our testimony. Our life before Jesus and our life after Jesus.
v5. Our actions earn us credibility. Could take time to define the purpose of the Pharisees.
v.6 He has a collective mindset. Its not his hope or his promise or his benifit, but the benifit of all people. A blessings to all nations.
v7. Israel has been waiting for God to save his people and raise the dead. Paul proclaims that it happened, and they want him arrested. What was the true hope of thier hearts?
v8. They believe in God with their lips, but their hearts are full of doubt.
v9. The enemy doesn’t worry about non-combatants. Once they enter the battlefield, they become a target.
v11. The enemy has an “obsession” with silencing the Lord’s people.
