When does the witness begin?
Coming from someone who cared more about what I saw than what I heard for years of my life in law enforcement…
It was more about what the body was telling me more than what the person’s words were telling me…
Personal appearance is important
Shower
Brush your teethe
Wear deodorant
Carry gum or mints
Clean and cut your fingernails (gross!)
Comb your hair
If you are a man, dress and act like a man
If you are a woman, dress and act like a woman
Not how the world defines these standards either, but how the Bible defines them.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Testimony without words
2 And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand. 4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. 5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. 6 And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.
Potipher “SAW” that the Lord was with Joseph and the Lord made everything in Joseph’s hands to prosper…
1 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom; 2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage. 3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. 5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God. 6 Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.
Daniel was preferred above the princes and presidents because of what they saw
Excellent spirit
Faithfulness
Blameless (no fault or error found in him)
Our witness begins at first sight…
How do you look
How do you behave yourself
How do you approach
How do you hold yourself
Does your demeanor match your message?
