Introduction

1 Corinthians 16:13–14 KJV 1900
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Let all your things be done with charity.

Stand Firm

To stand fast means to hold tightly to something. We are to hold tightly to our faith. We have too many people walking away from the faith because they got their feelings hurt, because they didn’t get what they wanted, or because God didn’t do things the way they wanted them done.
As men we are not to be weak-kneed when it comes to our faith in Christ. In fact, we are to be the very opposite. We are to be firm in our faith, holding tightly to it no matter what comes into our lives. If our wives falter we encourage them in the faith. If our kids rebel we stand strong on Scripture and teach them boldly the things of the Lord.

Stand Courageous

1 Corinthians 16:13 KJV 1900
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Quit means to be courageous. As men we are to stand courageous as head of our homes, as followers of Christ, and as members of the church.

Stand Strong

Strength is not always measured in muscle. Strength has many forms, but men in the church needs to stand strong in their faith, for biblical morals, and for holy living.

Stand in Love

Just because we are in a battle as soldiers against spiritual devils that are intent on destroying our families, our churches, and our Christian walk with God does not mean that we cannot show love to people who stand against our God. We must fight this spiritual war; we must do so by holding tightly onto our faith, be courageous in faithfulness, in participation, and in evangelism, we must stand strong in our faith and in holy living and we must do so in love for the people that stand against us remembering who our real enemy is.
Ephesians 6:12 KJV 1900
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
