I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD PART 2

The Good Shepherd in the 23rd Psalm

He will provide for all of our needs. (Verse 1)

Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

Psalm 34:9–10 “Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”

He gives us rest and peace. (Verse 2)

Romans 5:1 “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

He restores our souls and leads us in the paths of righteousness. (Verse 3)

Philippians 2:13 “for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”

He takes away our fear and gives us comfort. (Verse 4)

Hebrews 13:5 “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.””

Romans 8:31 “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

He came to serve us. (Verse 5)

Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.””

Luke 12:37 “Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them.”

Goodness and mercy will follow us and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (Verse 6)

Romans 8:28 “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
