Intro

Tonight we wrap up a series looking at Spiritual Habits that will fuel your life. Timewith God, Accountability, Memorization of Scripture. Today is the value of the Word of God. Why the Bible?
You will grow in a few ways regardless of anything else you do: Intellectually, Socially, Emotionally, Physically, and Spiritually. All of these will happen one way or another.
I believe all are tied together. I also believe that we are each wired a little different and some have to work harder in each of these areas than other.
Who you are at the end of your life is determined by the commitments you make and the habits you developed. Aristotle said “we are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act but a habit.”
With all of this I believe, Foothills believes when the foundation is right the rest can be solid. The foundation being the Word of God. So everything that has been discussed all comes back to this foundation. The Word of God. Time in it, accountability with others based upon it, and memorization all comes to this foundation.
Why the Bible? There are a lot of books that are historical, old, have teaching and training etc. Briefly lets stay here:
World tells us:
It’s old, out of date, irrelevant information, only a history book, book of rules, not authoritative, argues against itself
We don’t have time to dispute each item here,
