Philippians 1:12-14

12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
13 So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;
14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.”   Theme: Life's Person

    Here are the COMPONENTS that make up suffering in saints lives:

I. The Reason for Suffering. v.12

But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
There is understanding in the suffering.
There is population in the suffering.
There is direction in the suffering.

II. The Reach of Suffering. v.13

So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;
It is personal.

It is peculiar.

III. The Result of Suffering. v.14

 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

Conclusion:

No one wants to suffer. However that may be the greatest thing that ever happened or is happening to you.
