But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.” (Matthew 6:33, CSB)
Leverage your life for seeing, seeking, and speaking of the kingdom of God.
I. See the Kingdom Clearly
"Seek first the kingdom of God"
"Seek" (Ζητεῖτε) conveys an earnest, ongoing pursuit.
Jesus calls His followers to continually orient their lives around God's reign. This seeking is not passive or occasional but intentional and habitual.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” (Colossians 3:2, CSB)
This verse underscores the need to develop a kingdom mindset by focusing on eternal values rather than earthly distractions. Seeing the kingdom clearly begins with aligning our thoughts and perspective with God’s priorities.
Recognize the spiritual reality of God’s reign and His purpose in the world.
Leverage your life by developing a kingdom vision that shapes your values, decisions, and actions.

II. Seek the Kingdom Consistently
"Seek first"
"First" (Πρῶτον) emphasizes priority, not sequence.
Seeking God’s kingdom is not just one aspect of life—it is the organizing principle of life. Everything else takes a back seat to this primary pursuit.
I have asked one thing from the Lord; it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the Lord and seeking him in his temple.” (Psalm 27:4, CSB)
David’s single-minded desire to seek God exemplifies the heart attitude Jesus commands. Seeking the kingdom consistently means prioritizing God’s presence and purposes as our greatest treasure.
Actively pursue God’s priorities above personal pursuits.
Leverage your life by aligning your goals, time, and resources with advancing God’s kingdom.

III. Speak of the Kingdom Confidently
"His righteousness"
"Kingdom" (Βασιλείαν) and "Righteousness" (Δικαιοσύνην) reflect God’s rule and character.
The Kingdom: Refers to God’s sovereign reign, requiring submission to His authority. It’s about advancing His mission of redemption and restoration.
Righteousness: Involves both imputed righteousness (our right standing with God through Christ) and practical righteousness (living in holiness and justice).
Speaking about the kingdom means sharing the gospel and inviting others to experience God’s reign and righteousness.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.”” (2 Corinthians 5:20, CSB)
As kingdom citizens, we represent God to the world. Speaking confidently about the kingdom means proclaiming the gospel message and inviting others to live under God’s rule.
Share the truth of God’s standards and the good news of His salvation with others.
Leverage your life by proclaiming the gospel, pointing others to God’s rule and grace.

IV. Secure the Kingdom’s Promises
"And all these things will be added to you"
"Will be added" (Προστέθησεται) and "All these things" (Ταῦτα πάντα).
Jesus assures His followers that when they prioritize God’s kingdom, He will take care of their needs. This reflects God’s faithfulness as a provider (Psalm 37:25, Philippians 4:19).
The verb’s passive voice emphasizes that this provision is entirely God’s work; it’s not something we earn or achieve.
And my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19, CSB)
This promise reaffirms that when we prioritize God’s kingdom, He provides for our needs abundantly. Trusting in God’s provision allows us to live with peace and freedom.
Trust God’s provision as you prioritize His kingdom.
Leverage your life by relying on God’s faithfulness, freeing yourself from worry to focus on eternal matters.

By seeing the kingdom clearly, you gain the vision to focus on eternal priorities.
By seeking the kingdom consistently, you align your life with God’s purposes.
By speaking of the kingdom confidently, you become an ambassador for Christ.
By securing the kingdom’s promises, you live free from worry, trusting in God’s faithfulness.
