1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), 3 “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” 4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
We are all peoples children.

Household codes

n the ancient world, there was something called household codes, household codes, governed places are to be in that they usually had the father of the house being supreme ruler over everything, including wives and children. Sometimes these people were really mean, and they weren’t loving caring men.
Well, we seen in the New Testament that was something very different. We see a household code that has purpose. It doesn’t have the purpose of domineering and being mean, it has the purpose of loving and respect.
The Christian household code is based around the headship of God as supreme. Now within these household codes is different relationships with the family in the Bible we see consistently across first Peter Colossians, Ephesians, but there’s a hierarchy in the family, but the hierarchy serves a purpose of serving God .
Children are involved within this role. That is what’s completely different from the New Testament household codes and the world‘s household codes.
