And if you

fill
your intellect
with wisdom and knowledge in Christ
and continue
to keep it full
you will be protected.
Look at v.4-5
I say this in order that no one may delude you with plausible arguments.
For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ.’
Paul is teaching
that the reason
he gives us the treasure map
of wisdom and knowledge
is so that no one
may delude
or deceive
you
with plausible arguments.
Which means
arguments
that are persuasive
and that seem good.
But if you fill
your intellect
with Christ
you will be
united
through God’s Word
full of joy
and firm
in your faith.
In other words
by filling your intellect
with Christ’s Word
you will be secure
and solid
like a wall.
But you must
also
continue
to maintain
those walls
by keep
your intellect
full
of Christ.
And temptation is real
There is a real temptation
to overspend
when grocery shopping.
So the best way
to save money
when you go grocery shopping
is not
a groceries list
or to use cash.
Those are good techniques
but they are not the best.
Here is the best:
Eat
before
you go to the grocery store.
There’s a reason
that there are all these random things
to buy
at the checkout.
Everything from more candy
drinks
gum
and snacks.
But if you’re already full
then you won’t even look
at them.
