PRAYER 1 Honoring and Praising ALMIGHTY GOD (01/31/25)

My HEAVENLY FATHER, May Your Name be Kept Holy (Matthew 6.9). YOU are Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End,” says the LORD GOD. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” (Revelation 1:8). YOU are the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End (Revelation 22:13).  I give all honor and glory to GOD forever and ever! YOU are the eternal, incorruptible, and immortal KING, the unseen, invisible ONE who never dies. YOU are the only GOD (I Timothy 1:17).  

FATHER GOD, I proclaim that YOU are worthy to receive glory and honor and praise. JESUS instructed his disciples to pray; “Our FATHER in heaven, May your NAME be kept HOLY” (Matthew 6:9; Luke 11:2). I honor YOU, FATHER GOD, as HOLY (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8). David proclaimed, “I will bless the LORD at all times; HIS praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1). Just like David, I proclaim “BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the LORD, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless HIS HOLY NAME! (Psalm 103:1). 

FATHER GOD, OUR CREATOR, I adore YOU as the ONE who is over all things (I Chronicles 29:11). “In the beginning GOD (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). FATHER GOD, “Long ago YOU laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with YOUR hands” (Psalm 102:25). For YOU created all things and everything exists because YOU created what YOU pleased (Revelation 4:11). FATHER GOD, YOU are ELOHIM “Creator, Mighty, and Strong” (Genesis 17:7; Jeremiah 31:33).

FATHER GOD, YOU are the KING of the Universe. I proclaim that the Earth is the LORD’s and everything in it; the world and all its people belong to the LORD (Psalm 24:1). The LORD says, “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that? Could you build me such a resting place? My hands have made both heaven and earth; they and everything in them are MINE.  I, the LORD, have spoken!” (Isaiah 66:1-2; Acts 7:49-50). 

FATHER GOD, YOUR power is unlimited and infinite.  YOU are El Shaddai which we translate “GOD ALMIGHTY” (Genesis 17:1; Genesis 28:3; Genesis 35:11; Genesis 43:14; Genesis 48:3; Genesis 49:24; Exodus 6:3; Psalm 132:2; Psalm 132:5). “O Sovereign LORD! YOU made the heavens and earth by YOUR strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for YOU!” (Jeremiah 32:17). “The LORD merely spoke, and the heavens were created. HE breathed the word, and all the stars were born. HE assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs. Let the whole world fear the LORD and let everyone stand in awe of HIM. For when HE spoke, the world began! It appeared at HIS command” (Psalm 33:6-9). “By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the WORD of GOD, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible” (Hebrews 11:3).

FATHER GOD, YOU displayed YOUR greatest POWER when they thought crucifying JESUS CHRIST stopped YOUR plans for the world (I Corinthians 2:7).  BUT, YOU, FATHER GOD with ALL POWER, raised JESUS CHRIST from the dead (Acts 4:10; Galatians 1:1).  THANK YOU, FATHER GOD, for keeping YOUR plan hidden from the rulers and the world.  If they had known YOUR plan to save the world through the death and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST, then they would not have crucified HIM (I Corinthians 2:8). YOU are the ALL POWERFUL ONE.  FATHER GOD, “I know that YOU can do all things, and that no thought or purpose of YOURS can be restrained or stopped” (Job 42:2). Though human words cannot fully capture the vastness and greatness of YOUR POWER, I, Earlene Marian Richardson McNair, proclaim to the world that YOU are OMNIPOTENT.

FATHER GOD, YOU simultaneously occupy every space of the Universe at the same time. FATHER GOD, YOUR presence surrounded me every moment in my past.  FATHER GOD, YOUR presence surrounds me wherever I am throughout every day in real time. FATHER GOD, YOUR presence will be all around me in the future for every second; every minute; every hour; every day; every week; every month; and every year of my life and forever (Psalm 139:7-12; Isaiah 46:10).  No matter whether I am in heaven or the grave; When I am on the mountaintop; When I am in the valley; When I travel; When I rest; Everywhere I walk; Everything I see; Everything I hear; Everything I think; Everything I smell; Everything I feel; Everything I touch; I can never get away from YOUR Presence because YOU are everywhere I am (Psalm 23; Psalm 139:7-12). When YOU said to Jeremiah, “Can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth? says the LORD”, YOU (Jeremiah 23:24).  David wrote, I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night— but even in darkness hides nothing from YOU; I cannot hide from YOU. To YOU, the night shines as bright as day. So, there is no difference between darkness and light. They are both the same to YOU (Psalm 139:11-12). FATHER, GOD, I can never escape YOU or YOUR SPIRIT.  FATHER GOD, YOU are always present everywhere in the Universe at every moment in time. Though human words can never capture YOUR attributes, I, Earlene Marian Richardson McNair, proclaim to the world that YOU are OMNIPRESENT (Psalm 139:1-12).

FATHER GOD, I affirm that YOU know me, Earlene Marian Richardson McNair.  YOU knew everything about my past even before it occurred; YOU know everything about my present as it unfolds in real time. Just like YOU knew beforehand that Judas would betray JESUS (Acts 2:23), YOU already know my future before it unfolds (Isaiah 46:10).  David said, Thank YOU for making me so wonderfully complex! YOUR workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it (Psalm 139:14).  FATHER GOD, YOU watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of my mother’s womb (Psalm 139:15; Jeremiah 1:5). YOU saw me before I was born (Psalm 139:16). Every day of my life was recorded in YOUR book. Every moment of my life was laid out before a single day had passed (Psalm 139:16). YOU knew in the past; YOU know right now in real time; YOU will know in the future all the moments of my life. David said, How precious are YOUR thoughts about me, O GOD. They cannot be numbered! (Psalm 139:17).  “The LORD looks down from heaven and sees the whole human race. From HIS throne HE observes all who live on the earth. HE made our hearts, so HE understands everything we do” (Psalm 33:13-15).

With access to the Internet and Artificial Intelligence, we, as humans, envision our future intelligence and knowledge expanding exponentially, potentially reaching the state of infinity and boundlessness. However, YOUR WORD says, we see imperfectly, like blurred, puzzling reflections in a mirror, like an unsolved riddle so whatever we think we know now or will know in the future is still limited, finite, fragmented, and incomplete (I Corinthians 13:12).  FATHER GOD, YOU were in the past, currently are now in real time, and will always be in the future the ONE whose wisdom, knowledge, and intelligence are Infinite and Boundless until eternity.  “Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of GOD! How unfathomable (inscrutable, unsearchable) are HIS judgments (HIS decisions)! And how untraceable (mysterious, undiscoverable) are HIS ways (HIS methods, HIS paths)!” (Romans 11:33). FATHER GOD, YOU count the stars and call each one by name (Psalm 147:5). YOUR wisdom, knowledge, decisions are beyond human comprehension (Romans 11:33).

FATHER, GOD, YOU know everything that is happening at every moment in time. YOU keep YOUR eye on both the evil and the good (Proverbs 15:3). JESUS said, For HE gives HIS sunlight to both the evil and the good, and HE sends rain on the just and the unjust alike (Matthew 5:45). Nothing in all creation is hidden from YOU. Everything is naked and exposed before YOUR eyes, and we are accountable to YOU (Hebrews 4:13). David said, “But the LORD is in HIS HOLY TEMPLE; the LORD still rules from heaven. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth. The LORD examines both the righteous and the wicked” (Psalm 11:4-5). Paul wrote to the Church at Rome, “For who can know the LORD’s thoughts?  Who knows enough to give HIM advice?” (Romans 11:34). The Prophet Isaiah said, For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so GOD’s ways are higher than man’s ways and GOD’s thoughts are higher than man’s thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). “Praise the name of GOD forever and ever, for HE has all wisdom and power” (Daniel 2:20). Great is our LORD and of great power; HIS understanding is inexhaustible and boundless (Psalm 147:5). YOU, GOD are truly the only ALL KNOWING ONE. Though human words can never fully capture YOUR unlimited, infinite, and vast knowledge, I, Earlene Marian Richardson McNair, proclaim to the world that YOU are OMNISCIENT.

FATHER GOD, YOU will always be the same (Hebrews 1:12). Unlike shifting shadows, FATHER GOD, YOU will never change (James 1:17). Shifting shadows constantly change. Shifting shadows move as their light source moves. Shifting shadows change depending upon the presence, angle, and intensity of its light. Unlike we, humans, YOU are never inconsistent.  Unlike we humans who grow and develop in spirit, soul, and body, FATHER GOD, YOU never change.  YOU are always the same. YOU will live forever and ever (Psalm 102:27). FATHER GOD, YOU WORD says, For I am the LORD, I never change (Malachi 3:6). YOU Word says, JESUS CHRIST is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). 

FATHER GOD, YOU are the KING of KINGS and LORD of LORDS (I Timothy 6:15).  Everything in the heavens and on earth is YOURS, O LORD, and this is YOUR kingdom. “Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Tell all the nations, “The LORD reigns!” (I Chronicles 16:31). “The LORD will reign and sit as KING forever and ever!” (Exodus 15:18; Psalm 29:10).
