Pick out a bottle write your name phone number and bottle number on the sheet and then fill it with change or dollars whatever you feel led to do and bring it back by Sunday Feb 23. If you have already grabbed one and filled it up bring it back and pick up another one if so led. This money goes to Birthwright who is on the front lines fighting for the unborn right here in Nevada Mo. Lets lock shields with them and support them in a mighty way

Lets Pray

This week was a struggle and I really didnt know where God wanted me to go until Thursday of this week but He delivered because He is always faithful and true

I have been and will continue to pray for God’s direction

God’s guidance

God’s wisdom as I try to discern His message for you each and every week

Sometimes He gives me a large topic that requires a series

sometimes He gives me a scripture that needs to be expounded upon

Sometimes He leads me to a book of the Bible that needs to be preached through

Currently He is leading me to a book and a topic but both need developed and wrestled with before they are ready to bring to you

I truly believe that CCC is on the verge of being used in a mighty way by and for Jesus

We have several teams organizing and seeking Jesus in how to use the gifts they have been given.....what turns their cranks....for Jesus!!!

Praise the Lord

The new van team is already bearing fruit… Praise God for that AMEN!!!!!

We also have a couple who feel the Lord leading them to spearhead the Children’s ministry and are praying and beginning to work through that calling as well

As we grow in Christ and Christian maturity the more we realize it is not about us

you are not gifted

i am not gifted for you or for me

we are gifted to serve others

to shine the light of Jesus into the darkness

to help lead people to salvation and grow in discipleship

you are made for more

That is what it is all about...the more we dive into Jesus individually the more He will use you to build His kingdom

That will carry over to CCC as a whole and have a huge impact on Nevada and Vernon county....not for us but for God and His kingdom all because of His great love for you!

The closer you draw near to God the more you realize that

you have to know

you have to understand

and you have to walk in His ways

You have to die to you in order to walk in God’s Ways

He saved you when you hated Him

He saved you when you deserved death and hell.....eternal separation from God because of your sins

However in Christ you get God for eternity in heaven!

You have to realize that salvation must be more than fire insurance

Salvation must be more than a get out of hell free card

Because God is the God of your salvation and my salvation you must live a completely different life

a life completely dead to self

a life completely dead to the world

a life completely dead to sin

that is not you anymore

you are not in charge

you do not belong to the world....

John 15:18–19

““If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

You have to take truths like this and through the Holy Spirit change who you are

change how you think

change what you believe

change your behavior

change what you do

I have heard people say you do too much for that church

now they might be right.....if you are doing the things you are doing for the church building and not God you are doing way too much because you are doing it for you and the physical not God

However God’s work for you in your life must be first priority

Everything you do must be done for God

EVERYTHING

If you are here and attend here regularly God didnt bring you here just to sit on the sidelines in the pew cheering others on

He made you for more

He made you to do

He created works that only you can do because He created you to do those works

Again not for the church but for God

You must look different than the world and the worlds priorities.......get the mirror of scripture and the Holy Spirit out to see what you look like

So many are so comfortable with the world

justifying sin

justifying entertainment choices

justifying ignoring God’s calling in your life...what turns your crank.....IT

justifying putting God last and only really calling on Him when you made a huge mess and need rescued

justifying putting sporting events and hobbies and sleep ahead of God on Sunday mornings and staying home

you will justify all kinds of things when you are of the world that is why you must be different

how do you know if you are different if you are living for Jesus the world hates you

does the world hate you

are you receiving persecution and trials and tribulations because of your beliefs....persecution and trials and tribulations arent just being killed or beaten or jailed

are people unfriending you because you post about Jesus

are people making rude comments on your posts

have friends distance themselves from you

have you not gotten a position at work due to you living for Jesus

does the world hate you.......is there fruit to back that up......

if the world loves you it shows you are living for you and the world and sin not Jesus

and if you claim to be saved but this is the case you must evaluate are you truly saved

are you truly committed

did you truly count the cost

are you a disciple of Jesus

You must be different

you must be changed

you must live from Jesus and die to you and the world and sin

you are made for more

Psalm 25:4–5

“Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”

This is where God drew me to for today

I encourage and challenge you to dive into the entire chapter this week

The first thing God brought to me this week about this passage in Psalms is our need to be

Humble

David isn’t saying he would learn but God would teach

Make me know your way

teach me your path

Church so many of us sell this truth short

we claim the title of Christians but aren’t humble enough to come to a place where we say and truly mean make me know Your way

Teach me Your paths

Why

Pride

you and i are prideful

that is our sinful nature that we are to die to

have you ever thought this

I need to read the Bible today so I can learn something

or

I have to come to church so pastor Josh or Barb or Sheryl or Gary can teach me something

or

I have to listen to someone on youtube so i can learn

or

I have to have a study Bible so i can understand the Bible

that is dangerous and blasphemous my friends

John 14:26

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

The Holy Spirit will teach you all things

That is Truth

That is what Jesus just said

Will you learn as you read your Bible if you are saved and open to the Holy Spirit’s teaching absolutely

Will you learn when you come her and sit under our teachers...again if you are saved and open to Holy Spirit’s teaching absolutely

Can you learn from someone on youtube if you are saved and you discern through the Holy Spirit and are open to His teaching absolutely

Is having a study Bible wrong.....no as long as you are listening to the Holy Spirit not mans writings.

Do you get the point

You and I have nothing to do with it

Holy Spirit teaches so you must be humble in order to be taught

you must desire for God to make you know His ways

You must desire for God to teach you His paths

As I wrestled with what this looks like and how God wanted me to bring that to you He led me to

Isaiah 33:15–16

“He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands, lest they hold a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed and shuts his eyes from looking on evil, he will dwell on the heights; his place of defense will be the fortresses of rocks; his bread will be given him; his water will be sure.”

This gives you 6 things in your quest to be made different....to live as one who is made for more

Walk righteously

Through the Holy Spirit applying God’s Word to your life

Through the Holy Spirit changing you

through making every effort to do things God’s Way and not your way

to get to a point where when your way and God’s way is in conflict and you choose God’s way and die to your way

That is what walking righteously looks like

Talk Uprightly

encouragement

building others up not tearing them down

everything you say needs to glorify God and build others up

Do you take your words as seriously as God does?

Matthew 12:36–37

“I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.””

Pretty serious stuff here church

Do you think about this scripture when making rude comments

do you think about this scripture when engaging in vulgar or sexually charged jokes

do you think of this scripture when you are cussing

You will give an account for every careless word

think about that right now

think about standing in front of God on judgement day

see this in your mind

standing there giving an account to the Holy, Mighty, All Powerful Creator of the universe God giving an account for every careless word you spoke

can you see it

how does that make you feel

if conviction is present you need to change and talk uprightly

here is the deal

you can justify this away

you can get upset

but God’s truth is God’s truth

you will give an account for every careless word

will this truth change you?

Are you humble enough to say God you are right I am wrong and I will talk uprightly because of what jesus did for me on the cross

Despise Oppression

So many are oppressed in the world

most will say they don’t support oppression but is that true

you may not be actively supporting or oppressing anyone but do you support those who do with your money

Look at where your money goes

Ask God to show you what you are turning away from and ignoring

Stand Against Bribery

right is right

wrong is wrong

both are defined by God and no amount of money changes that!!!!!

Refuse to bribe others and refuse to be bribed

Stand Against Murder

i would say the chances are pretty high no one in this room has murdered someone nor will they ever murder someone

however according to a quick google search 458,000 people were murdered in 2021 on this planet that is about 12700 a day

This next stat should absolutely crush you

last year 2024 there were 73 million abortions worldwide that is 200,000 A DAY

You are to stand for the innocent

stand and fight for those who cannot fight for themselves

stand against murder

Stand against evil

Anything not from God is evil

anything that goes against God’s Word is evil

I dont care how much you enjoy it

i dont care how much you justify it

So many Christians are comfortable with evil

entertainment

companies

habits

One thing that has really bothered me in returning to coaching is the music

we listen to music everyday in the practice room and kids usually pick the music and it breaks my heart to the stuff they know

the evil in those songs

the putting down of daughters of the king

the singing about drugs and alcohol and sex

no wonder these kids are struggling because so many Christian parents listen to the same stuff and allow that to teach their kids about life

take a stand against evil it looks to do nothing but kill steal and destroy

Lead me in Your truth

Does this matter to you?

most will say of course it matters but what does your fruit say

what does your life say

are you truly humble enough to allow God through the Holy Spirit and Word lead you in His Truth?????

Does your walk matter to you

Psalm 27:9

“Hide not your face from me. Turn not your servant away in anger, O you who have been my help. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation!”

As a Christian your only desire should be to know and serve God

He is the God of your salvation

He made a way where you had no way

You were doomed to death and hell because of your sin

but God through Jesus blood on the cross paid your price

God is the God of your salvation that is all that truly matters

Does your life reflect that

what are your fruits

Can you legitimately say Lead me in Your truth

Is that what matters to you?

If it is you through the power of the Holy Spirit will be walking in righteousness

If through the Holy Spirit you will learn God’s ways and paths

then through the Holy Spirit you will truly be His ambassador

everyone you come in contact with will see you are made for more

You will make mistakes

you will fall

you will sin

when you do

repent

confess

ask for forgiveness and move on

Right back to chasing Jesus and loving God with all that you are and all that you have

Maybe you are here today and are

broken

hurting

desperate for answers

I would love to pray with you as Jesus is the answer and He is what you are looking for
