Three “L’s” of God

The primary scripture upon which today’s message is based is from the book of James. It is most commonly believed that the epistle of James was written by Jesus’ half-brother, James, whom Christian tradition holds to be one of the sons of Joseph and Mary.
In his salutation, he refers to himself as “James, a servant of God and the Lord Jesus Christ,” addressing his missive “to the twelve tribes scattered among the nations, Greetings.”
12 Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.
14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.
15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.
16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.
17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
