The Fruit of the Spirit and the Crucified Christian (Peace) (Isaiah 26:3)
The Fruit of the Spirit and the Crucified Christian (Peace) (Isaiah 26:3)
Peace - Freedom from agitation or disturbance by the passions, as from fear, terror, anger, anxiety or the like; quietness of mind; tranquillity; calmness; quiet of conscience. PEACE IS NOT THE ABSENCE OF PROBLEMS, BUT ALLEVIATION OF PAIN. (mental pain) (Peace has to do with the mind)
Perfect - complete peace
Stayed - to lean upon, to rest upon, to lay on.
You are able to have complete peace if you lean, lay, and rest your mind and life in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Paul says “bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5)
Peace When You Think You’re a Goner (Mark 4:35-41)
Peace When You Think You’re a Goner (Mark 4:35-41)
Christ made a promise they would get over to the other side.
(37) The perceiving of the waves, water, and wind caused their peace to go wayward and made them forget the promise the Lord had made to them. They let the problem that was seen make their peace smothered.
They thought that the power of the storm was more than the promise of the Savior.
Christ had peace (asleep on a pillow) the other did not (don’t you care about us Jesus?)
Had the people on the ship had kept their mind on the Lord’s promise and not on their predicament, they would’ve had peace as well. They got to the other side of the sea (5:1)
Peace When You Think You’ve Seen a Ghost (Luke 24:36-43)
Peace When You Think You’ve Seen a Ghost (Luke 24:36-43)
Notice Mark 4 and in Luke 24, Christ has peace, and when you have peace, you can sleep and eat.
Through the Scriptures, you can have peace in the Lord.

Peace at Golgotha
Peace at Golgotha
Christ was not fretting, fearful, or faithless while on Calvary.
Him being the forerunner, He knew everything that would happen.
Him being the forerunner means that He was the lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Him being the forerunner, He knew that He would not lose at Calvary. Death would not hold him. There was peace that He had the victory and that He had done the Father’s will. HE KNEW GOD’S WORD, BELIEVED GOD’S WORD, THOUGHT ON GOD’S WORD, FULFILLED GOD’S WORD, AND THAT GAVE HIM PEACE.
