My Story Breakdown

Household growing up, Christian, 16 decided to become a Christian.

Joined the worship team, bass guitar to humble me.

Met my wife

In highschool, we started dating, then came the time for university.

Studied LAW, then switched over to Sound engineering, audio post, and Live sound.

Finishing that, I returned to hometown, opened a music school and recording studio, volunteered as worship leader at my church.

Started studying electrical engineering.

Moved to Johannesburg, 2 years into engineering, I switched to theology to write better songs.

In my 4th year though, something changed. I heard about this topic of apologetics, and decided to minor in it.

What is apologetics?

Little did I realize that apologetics would shape a big part of my world.

I continued with my honours in apologetics and social media, and right now I am busy with my masters of theology, focused in apologetics, specifically Christian apologetics to Islam.

I have an apologetics ministry called The Social Apologist, I have a course on apologetics on Udemy and my website, I am on social media channels like Youtube, instagram, facebook, tiktok, and I sell Christian merchandise, mainly hats, like this one here to try and fund, and further my apologetics ministry. At the end of last year I also published my first book, called Engage: Practical apologetics for Small Groups. Its a 10 week course on arguments for why Christianity is true, and answering objections that are commonly raised against Christianity.

Right now I just want to give you a rough idea of apologetics, just in case you haven’t heard about it, like me.

Let’s take the argument for God’s existence. Can we prove God’s existence without opening the Bible. Let’s take a scientific approach to this question.

Cause and effect

Historical Jesus:

What about Jesus? An objection I get when debating and talking to people sometimes, is that they would make statements that Jesus never really existed, we only believe he did because our Bible says so. By that same logic, we can say that Spiderman is real, because the comicbook said so.

We have more ancient manuscripts for Jesus’ existence than any other ancient historical character in history. DIscrediting Jesus’ existence would equate to discrediting every ancient historical character like Alexander the Great, Cleopatra, Tiberius Caesar,
