The Final Kingdom: Christ’s Ultimate Victory

Wednesday Night Bible Study – Session 5
Date: February 12, 2025

Introduction

1. Welcome and Opening Prayer
Welcome: Emphasize that today’s study will focus on the culmination of all biblical prophecy—the final victory of Christ and the establishment of His everlasting kingdom.
2. Recap of Previous Session
We studied Paul’s teachings on the Man of Sin (Antichrist), the Great Apostasy, and Christ’s return in 1 & 2 Thessalonians.
We confirmed that the Antichrist will rise, deceive many, and defile the Temple before being destroyed at Christ’s coming.
We saw how Daniel, Jesus, and Paul describe the same prophetic timeline, reinforcing the absolute truth of Scripture.
3. Overview of Today’s Session
We will study the final victory of Jesus Christ, focusing on:
Daniel 7 – The prophetic vision of the Son of Man receiving dominion.
Revelation 19 – The Second Coming of Christ, where He defeats the Antichrist.
Revelation 20 – The binding of Satan and the Millennial Kingdom.
Revelation 21–22 – The New Heaven, New Earth, and eternal reign of God.
We will establish that God’s kingdom is eternal, unshakable, and victorious over all evil.

Part I: The Prophetic Vision of the Final Kingdom (Daniel 7)

1. The Four Beasts and the Rise of Earthly Kingdoms (Daniel 7:1–8)
Daniel receives a vision of four beasts rising from the sea, symbolizing four great earthly kingdoms:
1. Lion with Eagle’s Wings – America.
2. Bear Raised on One Side – Russia.
3. Leopard with Four Wings – Germany
4. Terrifying Beast with Ten Horns – Holy Roman Empire.
Among the ten horns, a little horn arises, representing the final ruler (Antichrist) who blasphemes God and persecutes the saints.
2. The Judgment of the Antichrist (Daniel 7:9–12)
Daniel 7:9 KJV 1900
9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
God the Father (Ancient of Days) sits in judgment, preparing to destroy the kingdoms of men.
The beast (Antichrist) is slain, and his dominion is taken away.
3. The Son of Man Receives the Eternal Kingdom (Daniel 7:13–14)
Daniel 7:14 KJV 1900
14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
Jesus Christ, the Son of Man, is given everlasting dominion by the Father.
This moment is fulfilled in Revelation 19, when Christ returns to take full authority over the earth.
Application:
All earthly kingdoms will fall, but Christ’s kingdom is eternal.
The reign of evil is temporary; the reign of Jesus is forever.

Part II: The Second Coming of Christ (Revelation 19:11–21)

1. The Rider on the White Horse (Revelation 19:11–16)
Revelation 19:11 KJV 1900
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Jesus appears in power and glory, leading the armies of heaven.
• His titles:
Faithful and True – He fulfills all prophecy.
King of Kings and Lord of Lords – He holds absolute dominion.
• His robe is dipped in blood, symbolizing judgment and victory.
2. The Defeat of the Beast (Revelation 19:17–21)
Revelation 19:20 KJV 1900
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
The Antichrist and False Prophet are captured and cast into the Lake of Fireeternal punishment with no escape.
Christ’s word alone destroys the armies of the world, proving His absolute power.
Application:
Evil will be fully judged. No force can stand against the power of Jesus Christ.
We must align ourselves with Christ’s kingdom now, living in obedience and readiness for His coming.

Part III: The Millennium and the Final Judgment (Revelation 20)

1. Satan is Bound for 1,000 Years (Revelation 20:1–3)
Revelation 20:1 KJV 1900
1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Satan is imprisoned so he cannot deceive the nations.
The earth experiences 1,000 years of peace, as Christ reigns from Jerusalem.
2. The First Resurrection and Reign of the Saints (Revelation 20:4–6)
The righteous dead are raised and reign with Christ.
This fulfills Daniel 7:27, which states that the saints will inherit the kingdom.
3. The Final Battle and Judgment (Revelation 20:7–15)
After the 1,000 years, Satan is loosed briefly to deceive the nations.
He gathers rebels for battle, but fire from heaven destroys them instantly.
The Great White Throne Judgment begins, and all unbelievers are cast into the Lake of Fire.
Application:
The Millennium reveals God’s perfect justice—righteousness reigns, but rebellious hearts still reject God.
The final judgment is certain, and those outside of Christ will face eternal punishment.

Part IV: The New Heaven and New Earth (Revelation 21–22)

1. The New Creation (Revelation 21:1–8)
Revelation 21:1 KJV 1900
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
God creates a perfect, eternal dwelling place for His redeemed people.
No more sin, death, or sorrow.
2. The New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:9–27)
The Holy City descends from heaven, filled with God’s presence.
God dwells among His people forever—the ultimate fulfillment of His plan.
Application:
Everything we suffer now is temporary. The New Heaven and Earth are our true home.
Live for eternity, not for this fleeting world.

Part V: How Should We Live in Light of This Truth?

1. Live in Holiness and Expectation
Revelation 22:12 (KJV): “And, behold, I come quickly…”
• Christ is returning soon, and we must be prepared.
2. Preach the Gospel Boldly
Revelation 22:17 (KJV): “And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”
• We must call others to repentance before final judgment falls.
3. Hold Fast to Christ’s Kingdom
Daniel 7:18 (KJV): “But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.”
Our victory is already secured in Jesus!
