Why do we need the church?
John 17:20–21 NLT
20 “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. 21 I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.
VS 20 - Jesus prayed for his disciples
Disciples someone who would do what the teacher would do.

Distinct and valued - loved and prayed for by Jesus - then and now.
Who is Jesus praying for in your life right now?

One Like Jesus and God
No shame between them
God empowered Jesus
Jesus did only what the father wanted
Have we been shamed or shame other believers?
Do we empower them? - Do you have christ followers that you look for way to empower them?

Calling out their gifts
Kind action?
Disciples are in the Trinity SO THAT - the world will see that Jesus is God.

Closing

Why do we need the church?
Jesus didn’t only save you!
Jesus wants you to be one (united/deep relationship) with other believers this side of heaven.
Last week - in the world and not of the world is really hard work!
Challenge - What is Jesus praying over you and the people in your life?
Talk to Jesus
Talk to some trusted disciples of Jesus in your life
Read the Bible
Path to oneness - with Jesus and his people
Musical arrangement
Build the kitchen
