Opening Scripture

Luke 10:4–11 NLT
Don’t take any money with you, nor a traveler’s bag, nor an extra pair of sandals. And don’t stop to greet anyone on the road. “Whenever you enter someone’s home, first say, ‘May God’s peace be on this house.’ If those who live there are peaceful, the blessing will stand; if they are not, the blessing will return to you. Don’t move around from home to home. Stay in one place, eating and drinking what they provide. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve their pay. “If you enter a town and it welcomes you, eat whatever is set before you. Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.’ But if a town refuses to welcome you, go out into its streets and say, ‘We wipe even the dust of your town from our feet to show that we have abandoned you to your fate. And know this—the Kingdom of God is near!’
Jesus told the disciples that when they traveled to do ministry not to take any money or any materialistic thing that would normally have been taken on a trip.
Jesus further goes on to tell us that we have a blessing to give as His disciples…
When we give a blessing if the place or person is worthy of it then it will stand if not it will return.
We are to bless each person/place that welcomes us for when they do so they do it also unto the Lord.
Often times we get so caught up on what we are taking on the journey not realizing that God is actually requiring us to travel light.
When we travel light we are making a statement that God will provide for us each step of the way…
God requires us to travel light so that we become more depended upon Him instead of material things.

Know What To Take & When To Take It…

Luke 22:35–38 NLT
Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you out to preach the Good News and you did not have money, a traveler’s bag, or an extra pair of sandals, did you need anything?” “No,” they replied. “But now,” he said, “take your money and a traveler’s bag. And if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one! For the time has come for this prophecy about me to be fulfilled: ‘He was counted among the rebels.’ Yes, everything written about me by the prophets will come true.” “Look, Lord,” they replied, “we have two swords among us.” “That’s enough,” he said.
Jesus reminded the disciples of a previous instruction that He provided to them followed by a question.
One they had affirmed what Jesus had already known He then issued a new command.
The New command was to do the complete opposite of what He had instructed the last time.
Everything that Jesus had told them to take with them on the journey was already provided to them.
God will always make known to us what we are to take, why we are taking it, and will always make provision accordingly.
If we end up taking the wrong thing with us on the journey it can result in making our journey longer than what it actually has to be. This is why Israel ended up wondering in the wilderness for 40 years.

You Are Equipped

Psalm 119:105 NLT
Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
God’s word is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword..
God has provided His word to us to serve as a guide in our times of uncertainty
God’s word gives us guidance we need in partnership with the Holy spirit to get us to the place that God would have us to go.
The word of God will reveal anything that is NOT like God and expose it for what it truly is.
God has equipped us with His Holy spirit
God has equipped us with His word
Because we are equipped we have the ability to travel with the presence of the Lord

You Are Protected

God has placed a hedge of protection around ALL of His people.

Is God calling you to Evangelize
Is God calling you to Preach
Is God calling you to feed the sick
Is God calling you to visit those who are in prision
Is God Calling you to go pray with someone
In order to find the type of movement God is calling you to you must come out of fear and walk in Faith!
Faith will connect you to your calling
