God’s Faithfulness and Our Calling
God’s Faithfulness and Our Calling
Scripture: Philippians 1:6 – “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
मलाई यो दृढ़ विश्वास छ, जसले तिमीहरूमा एउटा असल काम सुरु गर्नुभयो, उहाँले नै येशू ख्रीष्टको दिनमा त्यो पूरा गर्नुहुनेछ।
Introduction
Introduction
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I stand before you today filled with gratitude and awe at what the Lord has done in our midst. When God first placed the vision of this fellowship in my heart, it was not just an idea—it was a calling to serve. We started with just three families, and today, by His grace, we are four. This may seem small in the eyes of the world, but in God’s Kingdom, every step of obedience is powerful.
We are not gathered here by accident. This fellowship was birthed out of a divine purpose—to be a light in the midst of our Nepali community, where many still do not know Christ. Today, as we celebrate our 1st Foundation Day, let us reflect on God’s faithfulness, the purpose of this fellowship, and the work that still lies ahead.
1. Thanksgiving for God’s Faithfulness
1. Thanksgiving for God’s Faithfulness
Philippians 1:6 reminds us that God never starts something without finishing it. Looking back, we can see His hand guiding us. When we first gathered, we had no idea what the future held, but we stepped out in faith.
God has provided us with opportunities to worship together.
He has strengthened our faith in difficult moments.
He has given us a spiritual family where we can grow and encourage one another.
Psalm 126:3 says, “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”
परमप्रभुले हाम्रा निम्ति महान् काम गर्नुभएको छ, र हामी आनन्दले भरिएका छौं।
We must never take His blessings for granted. What we see today is just the beginning of His greater plans!
2. The Purpose of This Fellowship
2. The Purpose of This Fellowship
Why did God call us to start this fellowship? It was not just for our own spiritual growth but to be a witness in this place. We are surrounded by non-Christian Nepali people—people who need to hear the Gospel, people who need to experience the love of Christ.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:14-16, “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden… let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Our purpose is clear:
To grow in faith – Strengthen ourselves in God’s Word and prayer.
To reach out to others – Show the love of Christ through our words and actions.
To be a praying community – Asking God for revival among our people.
We are not just a group; we are a mission field. Every member here is called to be a witness for Christ.
3. Encouragement for the Future
3. Encouragement for the Future
Though we are still few in number, we must not be discouraged. God’s work always starts small but grows in His perfect timing.
When Jesus fed the 5,000, He started with five loaves and two fish (John 6:9).
When the early church began, it was just 120 people in the upper room (Acts 1:15), but through them, the Gospel spread to the whole world.
Zechariah 4:6 says, “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.”
It is not about how many we are—it is about who is with us. And if God is for us, who can be against us?
There are still many souls waiting to hear about Jesus. Let us not grow weary but press forward with faith.
4. Call to Action
4. Call to Action
As we celebrate today, let us make a commitment:
To pray more – Revival begins with prayer. Let’s pray for our community, our families, and those who do not yet believe.
To step out in faith – Share the Gospel, invite others, and be bold in our witness.
To remain faithful – Even when we face challenges, let us stand firm, knowing that God is with us.
Just like the dream of Rana sir crossing unhervrsted paddy field.
The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37). Will we be the laborers that God uses?
Conclusion: A Prayer of Dedication
Conclusion: A Prayer of Dedication
Let us take a moment to dedicate this fellowship to God.
Prayer:
"Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness in bringing us this far. We dedicate this fellowship to You. May it be a light in this community, drawing many to Christ. Strengthen us to do Your work with boldness, love, and perseverance. Let Your will be done through us, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen!"
