Why Should He Be Preeminent?

Because of all He is

Firstborn of creation--priority within creation, not the first creation, lest we fall out of orthodoxy into Arianism

Firstborn among the dead--giving us hope of the resurrection to come

Because of all He has done and is doing

Creator and sustainer of the universe

Head of the body, the Church
