Intro

the opposite of last week

a discussion on wisdom as a woman and where it is in your life

Wisdom calls out

like the last time we saw wisdom personified

wisdom tries to make herself known, does not hide or employ deceit like folly

a relationship with wisdom is valuable and worthwhile

she calls out to the simple, hoping to find people before they go down the road of folly

if you want to be resourceful, insightful, or strong, you will need wisdom

you are created to rule the earth and if you’re going to do that well, you will need what wisdom has to offer

Wisdom in Creation

wisdom was there in the beginning and for all creation

with wisdom God made and designed creation

once again, you are called to be a part of that and do the same

Col 1:15-17- Jesus and wisdom are spoken of with the same language

which is it?

Jesus is God’s wisdom made manifest

in everything he does, he shows how wise our God is

he is valuable and worthwhile to everyone and offers understanding to everyone who will take it

Application

everything important about wisdom, but not a lot of how to do it

wise ways of living are found in the later chapters

but for today, using the illustration from this chapter, whom can we follow that we know will lead to wisdom?

if you want to be wise, if you want to be down the right path, if you want something lasting and more valuable than things, follow Jesus

his life and his teaching will get you there
