We want you to have one on one and daily encounters with God
Spending time with God daily should be our number one goal every day
If you feel stuck or you lack momentum try meeting with God daily

Someone’s eternity is attached to you
Intensity
Intensity /ĭn-tĕn′sĭ-tē/
Exceptionally great concentration, power, or force.
The amount or degree of strength of electricity, light, heat, or sound per unit area or volume
Tell someone next to you: “It’s about to get intense”
Faucet:
According to the legend, French soldiers stationed in Germany after the war were unfamiliar with indoor plumbing,
particularly the concept of running water through faucets.
Some versions claim that French troops, believing the faucets themselves were responsible for providing water,
unscrewed them and took them back to France—only to be disappointed when no water flowed.
You need the reservoir, not the faucet
A lot of people want an outward flow without the inward structure:
I want the movements, the meeting, the alter times just as much as the next person and probably more
But you don’t get the manifestation of the Spirit without the reservoir inside
The Holy Spirit is the reservoir of which we draw from
Its the driving force of everything we do here as a Church
WE are on well water at our House
Just cause we don’t see the reservoir doesn’t limit us from drawing from it
The Promise:
5 “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
Your advantage/expedient-
Greek word: Soom-PHERO
to bear or bring together
to bear together or at the same time
to carry with others
to collect or contribute in order to help
to help, be profitable, be expedient
IT’s unlimited now:
It’s going to bring you together, you’ll be more profitable and efficient if I go away
Jesus was limited while on earth to a natural body
He says if I go away you won’t be limited by my proximity
I’m fixing to blow the doors off this place!
Some people say well Jesus is all we need

He’s telling you there’s something more than Just Him
I think I’ll listen to Jesus
8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Jesus tells them about the promise of the Holy Spirit
Now everyone he’s speaking to them is a believer
The pre-requisite to the baptism of the Holy Spirit is believing in Jesus
Here’s where you are going to have to Start Paying attention

2. The Distinction:
The Bible makes a clear distinction between the inward sealing of the Holy Spirit and The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
They are not the same
13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
This is what I could never fully wrap my head around the differences between the indwelling and the baptism
The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is a seal of the believer's salvation and a guarantee of their inheritance in Christ
Jesus mentions the distinction
16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
He’s not talking about salvation here
The World can receive salvation
He’s talking about the baptism of the Holy Spirit
You have to have a regenerated Spirit in able to receive the Baptism
This is how you can get from A-B
When you believe on Jesus and receive him
By making a proclamation of Faith
Calling on the name of the Lord
The HOLY SPIRIT PUTS A SEAL ON YOUR SPIRIT FOR THE PURCHASE OF YOUR SPIRIT FOR ETERNITY
That’s why the unpardonable sin is blaspheme the Holy Spirit
You are asking the Holy Spirit to take His seal off you

who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
So they were already believers, disciples of Jesus and the way
He laid hands on them and the Holy Spirit came upon them

3. The Evidence: Speaking in tongues was THE EVIDENCE
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
LET’S LOOK AT THE WORD BAPTISM:
The word Baptism was never used a religious term till the early church
Baptism is Bap-tid-zo:
to dip repeatedly, to immerse, to submerge (of vessels sunk)
to cleanse by dipping or submerging, to wash, to make clean with water, to wash one's self, bathe
to overwhelm
Used in a few different instances:
Dipping bread in oil- change the taste
Dying cloth- Change the look
Sinking Ship - You were in the water, now it’s in you
Someone Drowned- you were swimming and now your swimming with the fishes
Or the water you were once in, is now in you
What Jesus did by going away is He introduced us the thing that EMPOWERS US TO CHANGE

From fun to transportation

Driving an old Car
A car is meant to get you from A-B
When you’re younger you are limited by how you’re going to get there
THE VEHICLE IS THE TRANSFORMATION THAT YOU ARE NO LONGER LIMITED FROM GETTING FROM

You Get something with Power! It changes the game

Jesus is saying, I want you to get from here to heaven
But when I leave the Holy Spirit is going to give you Power
A lot of people want outward change w/o the inward being transformed but nothing works that way
You don’t just show up to gym on accident and get in shape accidentally
Something has to change on the inside of you
4. The Reason:
WHY?
The Holy Spirit will enable you to do things that are outside of your strengths
Outside of your education level
Outside of your family pedigree
Outside of maybe what your parents said you could do
Outside of your level of experience
Peter went from a fisherman that denied Christ
To a preacher of the gospel
Performed 9 notable miracles
Including raising one person from the Dead
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
God wants you to do greater things in your life than you ever thought possible
He wants to give you Power!
28 “And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
30 “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth:
Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
32 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.
For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance,
As the Lord has said,
Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.
God wants us to see things that are bigger than us
God want you to have dreams bigger than what you are capable of dreaming
He wants to Put His heart in His people
Step one:
Salvation first
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Sinners Prayer:
Father God, I give you my life
I give you my heart, I give you my all
I repent today for my past
I thank you my sins are forgiven
I believe in Jesus and that he died on the cross and rose again
I make you the Lord and Savior of my life
I love you God
In Jesus name amen

Father I ask you in the name of Jesus that you would fill me with the Holy Spirit from the top of my head to the souls of my feet. I want to speak in tongues, I want to prophecy, I want to receive all you have for me. Thank you for the good gifts that you give, amen.
