Text: Exodus 2:23-25; Hebrews 12:11
I. God’s Grace in Our Failures
• Example: Israel’s failure in Egypt – They had become comfortable in a foreign land, forgetting God’s promises.
• Our own failures – When we drift from God, He doesn’t abandon us but lovingly redirects us.
• Key Point: God doesn’t leave us in failure—He answers with grace and correction.
II. God’s Discipline Brings Growth
• Hebrews 12:11 – Chastening is painful, but it produces righteousness.
• Example: Israel’s oppression in Egypt – Their suffering made them cry out to God and long for the Promised Land.
• Our hardships – God allows trials to make us hunger for Him and His will.
• Key Point: God’s discipline is not about punishment, but preparation for something greater.
III. God’s Promises Give Us Hope
• Exodus 2:24-25 – God heard Israel’s cry and remembered His covenant.
• Application: When we cry out to God in our struggles, He is faithful to respond.
• Key Point: Every hardship is an opportunity to turn our eyes toward the greater promises of God.
Conclusion:
• Are you facing hardship? See it as God’s invitation to seek Him more.
• Are you discouraged by failure? Remember that God always answers with grace, not rejection.
• Trust that His discipline is preparing you for something greater!
