Hermeneutics- the branch of knowledge that deals with interpretation, especially of the Bible or literary texts.
The main key to hermeneutics is--the passage or Word cannot mean something tome that it did not mean to them.
So if I read a passage, the passage must mean to me what it meant to the original author in His original intent--or I have misinterpreted the passage.
A further outflow of hermeneutics is--one does not read the text to explain what he already believes, but we read to have the Holy Spirit illuminate to us what we need to learn.
Ecclesiology is a fancy way to say the assembly and the Word.
In the church, this term means the way we do the things we do as a church or the church’s polity.
