II. A Deceitful Plan.

A. Deliberate
i. This did not just happen.
ii. Notice the word with his wife they were in this together.
B. Detailed
i. They conspired together to bring just the right amount.
C. Dishonest
i. They were intentionally dishonest with the Apostles.

III. A Devilish Plot.

A. Satan attacked the Church from the outside with Persecution.
i. The Church was merely brought to it’s knees with the persecution and became more powerful.
ii. Persecution merely spread the Gospel.
B. Satan attacked the Church from the inside with Hypocrisy.
i. If Satan cannot stop the integrity of the message he can mar the integrity of the messengers.
C. Satan attacked Ananias and Sapphira in a weak area.
i. The word filled is the same use of the Greek word used for control.
ii. They had an issue that got exploited where they could be used to do Satan’s work.
iii. Tempted the same way that Eve was tempted.
iv. When put a question mark where the Word of God has placed a period you are giving place to Satan.

IV. A Deadly Pattern.

A. The Roots of their sin.
i. PRIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
B. The Evil of their sin.
i. They did not lie to the church only they tried to deceive the Lord.
C. The reaction to their sin.
i. God judged them just as he did Achan in the book of Joshua.
V. A Divine Path.
A. God loved them enough to take them out.
i. Hebrews 12:6 “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.”
B. Great fear came to the church.
i. Psalm 25:14 “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; And he will shew them his covenant.”
C. Great multitudes came to Christ.
