Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. 1 Peter 3:15
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; Revelation 12:11
There are two important things that we see in these passages and in these other verses that I’ve read for us to remember and for us to share: blood of the lamb - what Jesus has done for all of us, and our personal testimony - what Jesus has done individually for us
Go back over what Jesus has done for all of us
Different testimonies
Paul’s story in 1 Cor 11
Peter’s story in Luke 5
It’s good to remind ourselves … when we feel down or discouraged … when life is challenging for different reasons (whatever they might be)
In Revelation the context is people facing persecution … they triumph, they are able to overcome the situations in front of them, through the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony
Remind ourselves of what Jesus has done for all of us
Remind ourselves of what Jesus has done individually in our lives
It’s also what we can share … with those around us, who we meet … we are carriers of hope
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have
What Jesus has done for them …
The promise that he will be with them in their individual lives ...
Prayer of thanks and encouragement to share
