Abiding unto Fruit has to be a lifestyle, not just a decision you made.
Abiding unto Fruit has to be a lifestyle, not just a decision you made.
The Bible tells us that when we are saved we are born again, new creatures. That is drastic language. We can’t think that our lifestyle will/should remain unchanged.
Lay aside weights and sins
Hebrews 12:1 “1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,”
When I was a child I acted like a child but…
1 Corinthians 13:11 “11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.”
Fresh water and salt water shouldn’t come out of the same well…
James 3:11 “11 Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water?”
Be hot or cold, not lukewarm…
Revelation 3:15–16 “15 “ ‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.”
Questions:
Heres the question: Does it make you more like Jesus? How does it effect your witness?
If my church people were here would I feel comfortable doing it, saying it, going to it, etc…
Newly saved now what?
Take up your cross daily
Luke 9:23 “23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
Praying/Talking
Jesus woke up early:
Mark 1:35 “35 And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.”
Disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray:
Matthew 6:9–13 “9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
Reading
Meditate on Your word day and night Joshua 1:8 “8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
Hide His word in your heart Psalm 119:11 “11 I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
Praising

John 4:24 “24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.””
