Revelation 19:1 Song
Philippians 4:7–13 KJV 1900
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. 10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Psalm 121 KJV 1900
A Song of degrees. 1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, From whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, Which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is thy keeper: The Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, Nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in From this time forth, and even for evermore.
Key Verse
Philippians 4:13 KJV 1900
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
There are so many times in our life that we miss opportunities. We have a dream and let it go. We have any idea and let if fall by the waste side. We have so many things that come at us, opportunities on our job, entrepreneurship, opportunities that provide us with a level of joy and peace. So many things come our way but we let it pass us by. We are stuck trying to figure it out but God has already worked it out. We are stuck trying to determine if we heard God correctly. We are stuck trying to see if the ideas that God has given us will truly make sense. We don’t understand how the pieces of the puzzle will be put together.
Yes we are living in a time of great uncertainty but how many of you all know that there is one thing for certain? That one thing is God’s Word! I come by Greater Faith to let you know that you can do all things through Christ which strengthens you.
We know that we are living in perilous times from 2025 to 2029. We don’t know who’s getting laid off. We don’t know where the next big cut will come from. We simply don’t know, what we don’t know. There is so much going on over there on the East side of the United States that it’s hard to phantom whats next. Paul writes in his dissertation to the Philippians a few things that I want to point out.
Number one: Sometimes you have to dig deep to find where those testimonies are in order to bring you back up. Paul said, “You have to think on Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”
Paul said to go back to those testimonies that you heard about how God brought me out. Go back to that time were you knew God to be real. There is a song that was pinned by the late Andre Crouch called Take me back.
Take me back, take me back dear Lord To the place where I first received you Take me back, take me back dear Lord where I First believed
You have to go back to when you first got saved. You have to go back to that place where God spoke to you for the first time. See some of our problems lyes in the fact that we don’t want to take a birds eye view of our life. We want to keep it hidden in our sub-conscience. Not to reflect on it. Being in media and doing camera work, I own a drone. You all know what a drone is. It’s a flying object with a camera on it. We need to fly a drone over our past hurts. We need to fly a drone over when God brought you out. We need to fly a drone over the time when you were sick. You need to fly a drone over the time when you go put out your house. You need to fly a drone over the time when you made that mistake. You need to fly a drone over the time when you didn’t know when your next paycheck was coming from. Most of you all know that drones can fly over any vast areas. You’ve seen those shots. Look at the news. The California wild fires. The hurricane that hit Florida, Georgia and the East coast. You’ve seen those shots when a major tornado utterly destroyed an area. It’s when you take a drone and fly over our own life that you can see where something traumatic or even good has happened to you, to know that it was God who brought us out.
See we have to examine ourselves, we have to look at those shots to determine our current state of mind that we are in and what it will take to bring us out this time. Sometimes we have go on someone else’s testimony. You must understand this, there will be moments in your life that you are going to wonder what in the world just happened. It seems like you are on a road to destruction. You feel so discouraged right about now. But know this, 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
2 Corinthians 12:9–10 KJV 1900
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
When you feel down and out, His strength will make your weakness perfect. No matter what you are faced with, no matter what the obstacle is, when you are week, God says that you are actually strong through Him.
You have to reflect back on how great God is and at that point, Paul said, God’s peace will be with you.
Number two: Let the peace of God rest in your heart. Colossians 3:15
Colossians 3:15 KJV 1900
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
The next few verses Paul said that he was content. He was’t worried about anything. Whatever state that you are in, be content. People get so frazzled when they come upon situations in their life. Rightly so, but just ask yourself, What good is it going to do? We have to get into a place where the peace of God rest on us. Paul said that he is content either way, whether he has a lot or whether he has a little. He is at peace.
It is when we don’t let the peace of God in that we are doing Him an injustice. We are telling God that He doesn’t know what He is doing. You all know what that is. Where you ask God, “Now what did you do that for?” or “God why did you allow this to happen to me?” or even “God, I know that you blessed me but…this is to good to be true…how did you do it?” Yes we questioned God through the good and the bad. Now I’m not saying that questioning God is wrong. I’m just saying that IF you questioned Him, then you need to make sure that you sprinkle a lot of peace on that situation.
When we don’t have peace, that could be a detriment to our life and could lead to other issues both physical and mental. We get to a depression state. We waddle in self-pity. We lean on other things to cover up the pain. Know this, if He brought you out the first time, He will bring you out this time.
You have to let the peace of God rule in your heart. What does the bible say about the heart? It is desperately wicked. For some of us, it’s no telling how we would respond to certain situations. Cuss somebody out, look for another way to get back at those that do us harm and even go as far as Tyler Perry’s Madea threatens, to go get your “Piece to make Peace.”
Point Number three that Paul states: You can do all things through Christ. There is a simple formula that I put together for when you face an situation and that is… Testimony + Peace = I can do all things…through Christ and strengthens me. When you package up a testimony with peace then you can go boldly to the throne. Nothing with stop you. Your confidence level will increase. You love for God will increase. Your faith will increase. You strength in the Lord will increase. You will be able to do exploits.
Daniel 11:32 “32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
Once you realize that you can do all things, you will then learn that you and say I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, From whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, Which made heaven and earth.
You can sit move forward and work on those ideas
You can Know that God is with you in everything that you do
You can tell God I thank you for making a way
God I trust you
God I love you
God you are my rock
God I give you the all the glory
Psalm 34:8 “8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: Blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”
See my testimony is that I’m scared of heights and a bit claustrophobic. But it wasn’t until God placed it on my heart to learn how to flying a plane whereby I knew that if only I trust Him that I can do all things true Christ.
Once you get that peace and know that you can do all things then you can command things to happen.
Don’t let your dreams and aspirations go by the waist side just because someone or something is in the way. Go do something! Don’t let your opportunities die when you get called home to glory. Don’t let those ideas be left in the grave. Metaphorically, don’t allow the graves to talk about all the things that could have been done. Don’t let the grave say “Well I know that he had a great idea but…it’s too late now!”
In closing, there is one thing that I want to say is your greatest opportunity. It is to server God with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your soul. If you are saved, take the opportunity to love on God and to make Him proud. Spread your testimony so that others will know that there is a true and living God. This is the best opportunity, the best job you will ever have.
Word for the young lady in the choir:
THERE is so much that you are trying to do. I see you looking around like which way do I go. God is saying just to trust Him. Let him have it all. Let Him have every problem, every situation in your life. Let Him have it and let Him work it out. Some things you just can’t do by yourself. The weight may be to heavy for you to carry. Just let him have it. God has his hands out. But you won’t give it to him. You are saying, here God, wait, let me take it back like a baby wanting his toy back. Let it go! Let it go! Let it go!!
'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus Just to take Him at His Word Just to rest upon His promise Just to know, "Thus saith the Lord"
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him How I've proved Him o'er and o'er Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus Oh, for grace to trust Him more
I'm so glad I learned to trust Him Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend And I know that He is with me Will be with me to the end
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him How I've proved Him o'er and o'er Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus Oh, for grace to trust Him more
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him How I've proved Him o'er and o'er Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus Oh, for grace to trust Him more
Oh, for grace to trust Him more
Call to Discipleship
I believe that You are the Son of God. I believe that You came to Earth. You lived and You died on the cross.
You shed Your blood. They buried You and for three days You remained in the grave, but on the third day God raised You from the dead, and today You are alive forever more.
Jesus I believe this and I receive You as my Lord, and as my Savior. I ask that You forgive me of my sins and with that I thank You Lord for forgiving me of all my sins.
Thank you Lord for saving me. Right Now I Am Saved
