Good evening!
My name is Kervin,
And Church of the Cross welcomes you to Saturday Worship—
an alternative service for friends and family who cannot attend on Sundays—
allowing opportunity for growth in Christ and true fellowship according to the Bible.
As we continue in our time of worship, there are connection cards in the seat sleeves in front of you—
we want to get to know you and we also want to extend an opportunity to give, with the offering envelopes there for you as well.
As there is no obligation—we are simply grateful for your presence among us.
Heavenly Father,
We gather here today in Your presence, grateful for the opportunity to come together as one body in worship and fellowship.
As we prepare our hearts to receive Your word, we ask for Your Holy Spirit to guide us, open our minds to understanding, and soften our hearts to Your teachings.
Lord, bless our pastor Rene with the wisdom to convey Your message clearly and powerfully.
May the words spoken be not of human origin but breathed by Your Spirit, touching each soul in this place according to their need.
Grant us the ears to hear, the courage to embrace Your truth, and the commitment to live out Your will.
May this sermon not only inform but transform us, drawing us closer to You and to one another in love and unity.
We pray for those among us who are struggling, that they might find comfort and strength in Your word.
For those who are seeking, may they find direction; for those in joy, may they find gratitude; for those in sorrow, may they find peace.
As we listen, let us not be mere hearers but doers of Your word, applying it to our lives in practical and enduring ways.
May this gathering be a moment of spiritual renewal, where each of us is moved closer to the likeness of Christ.
Guide us, teach us, and let Your will be done in our lives, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
