Second Scripture
Mark 3:27 KJV 1900
27 No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
Introduction
When Jesus came the first time the established religions had to account for the miracles He performed.
At first they said He was just another teacher or a prophet, but when He became a threat to the existing order they tried to say He was casting out devils with the help of devils.
His family thought He was crazy.
Mark 3:21 KJV 1900
21 And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.
They actually tried to stage an intervention.
Mark 3:22 KJV 1900
22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
Mark 3:23 KJV 1900
23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
Mark 3:24 KJV 1900
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
Mark 3:25 KJV 1900
25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
Mark 3:26 KJV 1900
26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
He then presents Satan as a Powerful Man in his home or palace.
He has possession, and he is armed. He will not cast himself out, because a house divided against itself would fall.
When demons make war and fight, they do not cast one another out, they simply wreak havoc in the earthly realm.
If he is cast out, it means someone stronger has come.
Luke 11:20 KJV 1900
20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
